• Episode 11 - Ansley Davis
    Aug 4 2021
Ansley Davis is Lead Teacher at several studios in the North Shore area of Chicago. She found herself there, just like a few of my other guests, to pursue a dream in dance, and found her yoga mat instead. We completed our 300 hour yoga teacher training together this past June, and she always had tremendous feedback whenever someone taught to the group over zoom. Our conversation was definitely more yoga focused than most in that we discussed yoga more than our lives as yogis, but it was still really interesting to talk shop about being on the other side of the mat.

    Jul 14 2021
Amore St Ives is a San Diego-based Yoga Teacher, Training Program Facilitator, & Ayurveda Practitioner. She was my studio manager for a time when I moved back to San Diego in 2015, and she was my lead facilitator for my first 300 yoga teacher training that I began last year. She's an inspiration, mentor, and friend to myself and many, many others in the San Diego yoga community and beyond, and I knew she'd have a lot to discuss about how she came to San Diego, how she found yoga, and how it's shaped her life now. She's currently co-founding a holistic wellness cafe and health service studio, which we talked about during the show, and again I'm really grateful that she was able to take some time out of her week to chat with me. https://www.instagram.com/amorestives/ https://www.instagram.com/modrnmedicin/ https://www.gofundme.com/f/ayurvedic-cafe-and-yoga-studio-in-san-diego?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1

  • Episode 6 - Giena Hapgood
    Jun 30 2021
Giena Hapgood is a Yoga Teacher, Nurse, & Reiki Healer based in San Diego, CA. I was really interested in hearing her story about coming to San Diego from the Pacific Northwest, how she found her way to yoga through a difficult separation, and how yoga has helped her find and define her authentic self. Just like with Episode 4 with Nirel Rillera, we went into being of Filipino heritage in America, and how that's shaped our lives and our experiences. We had some technical difficulties with the sound, but you'll be able to understand what we're talking about. Thank for bearing with us during this episode, because I really feel our discussion was worth dealing with some of the sound issues. https://www.instagram.com/heyhalfpint/ https://www.instagram.com/sober_pints/ https://www.instagram.com/holistic__g/

  • Episode 4 - Nirel Rillera
    Jun 16 2021
Nirel Rillera is a Restorative-based Yoga and Scientist by trade living in the San Francisco area. Nirel (she/her) sees the world and her yoga practice through the mind of a scientist: She is constantly experimenting, observing, learning, and developing. Her classes also echo a spirit of discovery and learning through mindfulness in movement (or lack of movement). Nirel believes that this exploratory process better acquaints us with ourselves and reveals what we truly need. She is especially interested in the state of personal restedness and explores this through Restorative Yoga. Nirel aims to provide her students with a supportive environment for mindful exploration and self discovery. Instagram: @nireltheyogini Website: http://www.nireltheyogini.com
