We’ve all been there…your company or team is accustomed to vetting a certain amount of leads/bids on a regular basis. What happens though when the amount of leads/bids during a certain period of time goes up drastically beyond what you typically handle?

CRM’s are a great way to do this, to automate this and to make sure you aren’t losing out on opportunities because you forgot to call a lead or follow up with a bid, etc.

We hear it so much nowadays: “This workforce isn’t what it used to be,” etc. Well, we can keep complaining about it or we can help change it. How do we do that you may ask? It starts within the walls of our own homes.

Teaching our kids to do and accomplish hard things is so important. If we want future employees who we can trust to do the job right and get things done, even when it’s tough, we need to teach our kids to do the same.

Letting them fail, speaking truth to them, and being true to your own word, will prove helpful. Make them get jobs as they get of age and make them do chores as they live under your roof.

I’m definitely not a professional in the matter and I’m far from a perfect parent, but maybe I have a few thoughts that might inspire some ideas for you and your children.

How many of us have dealt with a particular problem over and over again in your businesses?

First you need to think: how can I prevent this problem from recurring? Second: what steps do I or my team take to solve this problem when it does happen?

As leaders and owners we can keep ourselves up at night with what if scenarios and be our own worst enemy. Or we can put insurance policies in place (ie inspections and additional training from experienced staff).
