  • The word cryptex is a neologism coined by the author Dan Brown for his 2003 novel The Da Vinci Code, denoting a portable vault used to hide secret messages. It uses "the science of cryptology to protect information inside". Credit https://www.wikipedia.org/ Therefore "Inside The Leadership Cryptex" is an apt title for my podcast as I speak with industry experts and business leaders to unlock their secret code for business and career success. I focus on talking to people working in or related sectors to property, real estate and building about their career, the ups and downs, their daily habits and the path that lead them to where they are today. How do they balance their work, family, relationships, physical and mental wellbeing and both, personal and financial growth. I also uncover their goals for the future along with industry commentary. Regardless if they are the CEO, Managing Director, Senior Manager, Industry Thought Leader or the top Executive in their company, my casual, conversational approach digs deep into their minds to find out their "Why", possibly uncovering their success secrets to help inspire others. What do they do differently that makes them excel at levels beyond the norm. This is a straight talking podcast where I invite my guests to be their authentic selves as I will be. NOTE: Some swearing may happen just in case you are easily offended. As I said, straight talking and authentic. She joined the Property Council of Australia in December 2018 as policy and communications advisor before becoming the senior policy and communications advisor for the Victorian division in April 2019.Emily moved to Perth following her appointment to her current role in October 2020 and now considers herself a true WA sandgroper.She talks about the Property Council and the role it plays in the Australian property industry and the crucial work it does to support the industry and the current hot topics.Emily also studied law in her early days and talks about how it has allowed her to develop her career and to her current role.
