  • The Cracked pot & The Lantern
    Apr 21 2024

Today I'm sharing two short stories that were shared with me many years ago while I was struggling through a difficult time.

The first short story is about a Cracked Pot who could only see her imperfections as flaws. The second story is about a traveler who took a long journey through the night to get to his destination, needing guidance finding his way.

We all go through challenging times. Some are more challenging than others. But stories can help lighten up our challenges and see that they can be manageable.

  • A 10 min. Loving-Kindness Meditation
    Mar 17 2024

Loving-kindness Meditation offers unique benefits, that are subtly different than other forms of meditation. It's the practice of offering one's self, and others freedom from suffering. Wishing one's self, and others contentment, inner peace, happiness, good health and ease.

Where other forms of mindful meditation typically encourage us to explore our moment to moment experiences, our edges, or our difficult feelings and face them directly, the practice of Loving-Kindness offers a balm to those experiences. It offers us the ability to wish ourselves some nurturing & ease when feeling distressed. It's a way to heal more gently, and more compassionately.

As someone who lives with the effects of a traumatic brain injury, and severe Post Traumatic Stress, I've personally found a Loving-Kindness Meditation is a much more gentle way of helping myself heal what is ready to heal, and gives me the ability to address what is causing me struggle and anxiety with more authentic compassion.

I created this podcast to hopefully offer you some help and support as well.

May you be peace filled May you be healthy May you be happy May you be safe & live with ease
