  • 2. Letter to My Younger Self
    Oct 14 2020

Have you ever thought about what you would share with a younger version of yourself? In this week’s episode, Kristina writes a letter offering insight into her newly graduated self, whom was about to set out into adulthood over 17 years ago. Through this letter she sheds light on experiences that have shaped the person she is today, while presenting encouragement to be still in the moments of struggle, stay the course, and not to live with regret. Highlighting the need to let go of feeling like a failure, she extends reassurance that she will be ok, perseverance will serve her well, and she will step into a future where she became the light amongst the darkness.

Take a moment and reflect on your past self. Give yourself grace and be grateful for your strength as you would not be who you are today without the person you were in the past. If your current self is in a state of hardship, be still and choose strong. You will get to a brighter future … we here at Nina’s Journey believe in you! Resources listed below.

  • 3. To Love Openly Always Starts Within
    Oct 22 2020

What is love? What does it mean to love? This is really one of the most primal parts of being a human being … we all long for love. But where does the journey of love start? Kristina walks through how to define love, learning to visualize what it looks like individually. She will share her experiences in her childhood that set the stage for love and what that looked like as she stepped into adulthood. Only two years ago did she really learn what love was and where it starts, which is within.

There will be steps to take an inventory of how you interact with others and reconcile if that is how you treat yourself. Kristina challenges you to release this need for external validation and practicing intrinsic value. Take time, be still, and learn to love openly … starting from within.

  • 4. Living with Vulnerability Equals Strength
    Nov 4 2020

Does the word vulnerability make you uncomfortable? It shouldn’t! Being comfortable with vulnerability is where living really is at. Kristina explains that the unpleasant notion that comes with vulnerability is really a fear of judgement. To live is to be showing up, to be seen. Together she will unpack the limitation of perfection and instead encourage you to open up to vulnerability, allowing yourself the grace to work through the journey of learning how to understand emotions that may impact your willingness to be vulnerable. This is not weakness, this is seriously a sign of true strength.

  • 5. What Does it Mean to be Still
    Nov 11 2020

While navigating hardship or heartache, Kristina walks through what it is meant to be still. By sharing her current situation, she looks to extend understanding for what this may look like and how to respond to a loved one or someone you care about who raises their hand in a time of struggle. As she expresses that, as people, we all have choice and choosing our hard can still lead toward moments of sheer overwhelm at times … this is normal and it is absolutely ok. By developing and leaning on self-love and vulnerability, she describes the ability to be in a state of grief temporarily and then moves back toward a state of growth. Respect your pain, be still, and move forward in peace.

  • 6. Growth Mindset is Where the Magic Happens
    Nov 25 2020

Bringing this all together, Kristina will share how taking self love and vulnerability will bring you to a state of growth. She talks about the difference between a fixed mindset and a growth mindset. Growth comes from the general idea that one believes he or she can develop talents through hard work, consistency, good strategy, and practice. She uses a real life experience in her parenting to demonstrate as an example stepping into a space of growth. She encourages listeners to not focus on the destination as much and instead embrace the process as she believes that is where you truly find yourself.

  • 7. Fear, a Show Stopper or Show Topper
    Dec 6 2020

What can stop us from leveling up? Fear, it is natural, powerful, and primitive. On this episode Kristina walks you through what and how fear impacts us as human beings. She even opens up and shares a clip with a very real and raw experience with fear. However, she feels that we an retrain our perception of the biochemical response of fear to interpret as excitement, a state we comfortably manage. Kristina encourages you to embrace it and step forward, leveling up because you deserve it. Save fear for the real emergencies and danger … take everyday fear and leverage it, master it!
