    Kendra and her friend Brooke Pepe created a documentary called Daughter of a Lost Bird, which follows Kendra's journey of looking for her birth mother and reconnecting with her Native American roots. The film captures the first phone call, the letter Kendra received, and their emotional meeting. Kendra's birth mother, April, was open to being in the film and has been supportive throughout the process. The documentary has been screened at film festivals and aired on PBS World Channel. It is currently being prepared for online streaming. Kendra discusses the importance of cultural access and the revival of lost cultures. She also shares her career as a doula and the similarities between birth and death work. Kendra emphasizes the significance of holding space and being present in both these threshold moments. She talks about the pursuit of play and the need to find joy and fun in life. Kendra finds inspiration in her children and is working on unpacking the baggage of rest.
