Not believing, but only experiencing, says Osho in this inspiring series of talks, is a way of finding truth and meaning. Everybody is afraid of intimacy. It is another thing whether you are aware of it or not. Intimacy means exposing yourself before a stranger. We are all strangers - nobody knows anybody. We are even strangers to ourselves, because we don't know who we are.

In Tantric Transformation, we are introduced to the sacred and ancient tradition of tantra by a contemporary tantric master Osho. We are given a detailed map of tantra: inner man, inner woman; the meeting of man and woman; the transformation of energy through sex, love, and meditation. I love the statement that the "man of Zen walks in Zen and sits in Zen" for the simple reason that meditation cannot be just a part of your life. You cannot make a fragment of your life meditative.

Maine Ram Ratan Dhan Payo: Aao prem ki ek jheel mein nauka-vihaar karein. Aur aisi jheel manushya ke itihaas mein doosri nahi hai, aisi jheel Meera hai. Mansarovar bhi utna swacha nahin. Aur hanson ki hi gati ho sakegi Meera ki is jheel mein. Hans bano, to hi utar sakoge is jheel mein. Hans na bane to na utar paooge. Meera ki is jheel mein tumhein nimantran deta hoon. Meera naav ban sakti hai. Meera ke shabd tumhe doobne se bachaa sakte hain. Unke sahare par us paar ja sakte ho.

In this provocative talk, Osho starts with our assumption that we are interested, maybe even passionately interested, in knowing the truth - and he tears it to shreds. He goes back in history with razor sharp clarity to illustrate our long-time avoidance of the truth, and our need to hide out in illusion.

Osho responds to a question related to compassion. "Only compassion is therapeutic - because all that is ill in man is because of lack of love. All that is wrong with man is somewhere associated with love. He has not been able to love, or he has not been able to receive love. He has not been able to share his being. That’s the misery. That creates all sorts of complexes inside."

Nirvana has become an idealized word associated with the juxtaposition of a cult rock celebrity who died before his time and a vague new age version of Eastern religion. An altered state to be hoped for but likely unattainable, reinforcing that all too familiar uneasiness associated with never being able to have what we truly desire in life.

Kabir par Osho samay-samay par bolte rahe hain. Keh sakte hain ki Kabir unke priy rahe hain. Kabir ke saddhukkadi vachanon ko samsamayik Osho hi bana sakte hain.
