Siegfried wächst bei dem Nibelungenzwerg Mime im Wald auf. Dort versucht Mime, die zerbrochenen Trümmer des Schwertes Notung zusammen zu schmieden. Ein Waldvogel rät ihm, den Ring an sich zu nehmen und weist ihm den Weg zu Brünnhilde, die hinter einem Feuerwall schläft.

Story
