Makes it easy to understand the different types of attatchment

This a good way of explaining all of the types of attachment. Going into how childhood and other factors that caused trauma effect if you have a secure attachment style or not. Also goes into the starts of how to correct those issues. Very helpful.

Approachable, Encouraging & Illuminating

Just what I was looking for. This breaks down the psychological and physiological origins of attachment styles while being approachable. I also love how at every turn, the listener is encouraged that there is hope to move toward change and given ideas of how to do so. There is no shaming. I feel like I have peeled back layers of my history and shed light on issues I have struggled with for years.

This book feels like it’s been written about me.

So many aha moments in this book. I feel like it has given
me clear trailheads to start looking at my patterns and behaviors and a path to follow for healing. And that with enough personal work, I can heal these parts and patterns. And to learn how to find and cultivate a healthier relationship pattern with another person and myself.
