Lots of great info on the Vagus Nerve - helpful!
I've had some heart rate issues in the past, and a nurse helped me learn (and then execute) the Valsalva maneuver - which brought my heart rate down. She mentioned that my vagus nerve may have had a hand in my heart issue. I had no idea the role that the vagus nerve plays in the body!! I've learned a lot over the years but never found a book on it until now! I really liked learning even more about the vagus nerve and the role it plays in the body. The breathing exercises and humming (I like to hum worship songs) have made a noticeable difference in how I feel day-to-day. The book explains everything clearly and offers practical tips that are easy to incorporate into your routine. If you’re dealing with vagus nerve issues or just want to improve your overall health, this book is definitely worth a listen!

Caring for the most important nerve
As a respiratory therapist, I know that the vagus nerve is the most important nerve in the body and 100% responsible for breathing. I had no idea how much more the nerve is responsible for. I found this book to be extremely informative. The content was well organized and easy to follow. Learning to reduce stress and improve my mood with vagal tone exercises has been amazing. I highly recommend it.
