I liked the book for the most part.

I liked the book for the most part. Very good things to think about. I was new to self-help books when I purchased this one and pretty much always considered myself a cynic; so it took me a bit to get into the book. However, once I did, I got really into it. Meditation, positive thinking, forgiving, affirmations, etc. I will listen to this again and again. I am so grateful to have come across this book; it was the beginning of what will be a life-changing journey for me.

Nice and useful gift for me!

I got this book as a gift, and I am very thankful to my brother for it. This guide to Peace of Mind came at the right time of my life. I am sure if I follow all the pieces of advice given in Mental Hygiene I can balance my life after all of the stresses I had recently.
Mostly I know all those things but always good to have a reminder beside me like this book. Will get the printed version too.

I would recommend this audiobook

I would recommend this audiobook to anyone who is feeling overwhelmed, stressed out or finding that they have general unhappiness in life. Throughout this audiobook, I have discovered strategies and guides on how to retrain my negative thoughts. This has allowed me to have a more positive outlook on life, gain a better perspective of daily personal situations, and to find a way out of my anxiety and depression. I firmly believe that anyone can benefit from listening to Mental Hygiene: How to Change Your Mind.

This audiobook has helped me immensely,

If you want to give cognitive behavioral therapy a shot, this is a great place to start. It's written casually with approachable language and explanations. Some of the exercises seem silly and unnecessary, but they must be done if you want to really get anything out of this book. In fact, you should look at this more as a workbook. I still refer to this when I'm having trouble or want to brush up on a skill, and as a result, such many of the notes made by me on a shit of paper from this audio are highlighted and underlined. It may help if you listen to this along with attending therapy as I did, so you can get extra help and guidance if needed.
This audiobook has helped me immensely, and I plan on keeping this handy because its information is applicable in so many ways.

Extremely profound and life-changing.

Mental Hygiene by A. Glenn is an in-depth look at various emotions, feelings, thoughts, and how to deal with them in a way that resolves the underlying issues. It has given me clarity on so many things I been seeking answers. I recommend it to anyone. Extremely profound and life-changing.

Worthy listen!

Everyone at risk of pessimism or depression, every parent should read this book. It makes perfect sense to me as a father of a teenage boy struggling with depression. The key take-way is: optimism is a choice, a learn able skill, and attitude. It does not change facts. But it does change how you feel about and deal with them.

Great helpful book.

This audiobook has given me another crucial piece in my understanding of how real happiness in life works. It has changed me as a person and allowed me to improve how I work with my psychotherapy practice clients. All those battles I engaged in with the endless, undermining thoughts in my head over the years has never really worked. The Mental Hygiene principles so clearly presented in this book explains why, and what to do that will instead.
I look forward to listening to more of the author's books.
