Wow

I really enjoyed this book although it was shorter than I expected it to be. Still had plenty of banter and tension which I absolutely love. Patiently waiting for the next book.

OBSESSED WITH THIS

I am obsessed with this story. Absolutely obsessed. The only note I have is that there are times where the narrators say the wrong words. (E.g., Lenny’s mom’s name is Meredith in the book but the narrators say another name & they skip lines sometimes) other than that… absolutely amazing. I’m already more than ready for the next book

This book was just fantastic! As if I need to love Kai even more. Just a wonderful character! How even are we going to be left with an ending like that though. Counting down the days to Fearless!

Oh Kai!!! 🥺🥺🥺

Before I delve into the story itself, the narrators did a pretty good job bringing those characters to life. I’m truly grateful for that. Although at times, as I was reading the ebook and listening simultaneously, the script didn’t match the book text but nevertheless…
Now, Paedyn and Kai. 🥹🥺🥹 Gosh! I feel for those two and for Kai even more so, that plot twist at the end was just draw dropping! 😮Truly did not see that coming. Why would Kitt do that? I mean… why??? And where/how does Callum fit in all of this? What’s going on? Can’t Kai and Pae have more than a moment together? I’m truly curious as to how those two will get to there HEA. The road there is truly dark, I’m not seeing the light that’s at the end of that tunnel yet. But regardless, I’ve loved every moment they have had with each other, the banter as always between them did not disappoint. He laid it bare to her and although not Paedyn’s doing but I felt that pain at the end with Kitt’s announcement. I truly feel for Kai. 🥺 so because of it, next year can’t come soon enough for the final installment of this trilogy. I hope that all the questions are answered and all the secrets are out. Through this book though I’ve realized that it was pretty reckless of Kai to make himself powerless, double pun intended 😏. Due to his power, he’s basically an ordinary when there are no elites around him. Which puts him at the same level as Paedyn, relying on his skills as a fighter to defend himself and not his powers. That was pretty eye opening. And with the discovery of the others, I wonder what role they will play in the way Ilya will be ruled. Until then I’ll be counting the days to next year’s release.
