DNF due to narrator, switched to regular book

I don’t know how people are loving this so much. I had to quit and get the kindle version the narration was so annoying. It like listening to an infomercial with vocal fry and has a weird intonation that just repeats every sentence with an uplift at the end. The story is definitely worth reading in whatever format you can because it’s honestly great.

Soul gripping

Sarah blew my mind with this story of hers let alone the performance on the audio omg! I’m determined to own this book in every version/format I’m in love with it! Thank you so much to everyone for doing a phenomenal job bringing this story to life for me. I thought my soul was played with enough just from reading the book but after listening… holy cow!!

One of the best books I’ve read

This book is an adult high fantasy with world building throughout. It has multiple points of view each with substance that doesn’t disappoint. I was never bored reading this book and cannot wait to read the second in the series. I couldn’t put this book down and don’t worry the story will explain a little what things in the glossary are but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t read it. I read it once and was fine the rest of the book. The narrators for the audible are also fantastic both male and female. They’re consistent throughout and easy to differentiate between the multiple characters.

Best I've read this year !!!!!

Narration was Amazing !! Storyline made me laugh and cry ( real tears , I kept a box of tissues near by lol ) it was nice to finally listen to a book and really feel the characters come alive . 10 stars 🌟 I'm really looking forward to the next book . I don't usually buy the physical copy of the book anymore , but I'm going on Amazon to do just that . Loved it that much !! it's going to be a challenge now to find something to listen to next lol . I may just listen to this again !! Best book I've read all year !!!! It rates right up there with the Throne of Glass Series & Court of Thorn and Roses but with better narration.

Favorite read this year

This story was a wild exciting ride from start to finish! Sarah A. Parker’s writing is amazing and never disappoints. I was left guessing until the very end. The narration was phenomenal, and really brought the story to life!

Lush and addicting

I am left frustrated that I cannot immediately binge the next book in this series! Beautiful world building. Some of the actions/emotions of the FMC is a little repetitive, but that's easy to look past because of the detailed world and a spicy Kaan. Perfect book to soothe the addiction after reading ACOTAR and Fourth Wing.
