Read it!

The author has a beautiful descriptive nature in her writing. I enjoyed this book and will continue the series. The main character is clever and funny. Sarah Parker’s best book this far.

Fantastic!

One of the best books I’ve read this year! I love the rich complex world and the well developed & developing characters. Completely unpredictable and unique - I know I’ll be listening to it again before the next one comes out. Can’t wait! And the multiple readers are lovely too

Fire & Brimstone, Shattered Ice

I was riveted from the beginning. It is a little daunting to keep all the characters, the world building straight at the beginning but stick through it. The story is worth the wait, not only that but the author graciously provides aids to keep everything straight.

Amazing.

Her best story yet. Loved this so much. So excited to see what’s next. The narrators were amazing as well.

Thankful for the audiobook

If it wasn’t for the audiobook I don’t think I would have finished it… I think it’s such a slow development and super slow burn story…
At some point, I felt the story got tangled and wasn’t sure about the main purpose of it. It has nice characters development And nice scenery description… I don’t think I will continue the series though.

Incredibly long

So much world building and almost didn’t finish but was encouraged by a friend to do so and I’m so glad I did!

The narrators are so good!

I’m so glad I listened to the audio of this book because it was so good! The narrators are perfection and made me really connect with the characters. Highly recommend!

This! This book was absolutely better than I expected!

Every shift in the story, every incident, every moment, I was full of emotional turmoil. anxiety, joy, anticipation. fear, joy, heartbreak. The narrators are phenomenal, the characters and intricate and detailed, the settings are so well thought out. I was fully immersed in this story. I'm dying to see what happens next in Raeve and Kann's story!

Beautifully Detailed

Overall I liked it but listening helped with my reading it as well. I finished this in about a week. I liked the details in the world building. I enjoyed the magic system and Gods and Raeve and Kanns chemistry and banter. I didn’t care for the torture or abuse of any creatures. I also didn’t know going in that there will be another book… so I didn’t like that at all.

The audiobook narrator was awful

It sounded like AI, a very monotone voice it was so hard to get into it
