  • Episode 53 - Are you overlooking all the amazing things you've achieved in your career?
    Jul 10 2024

Sometimes it doesn't seem to matter how much we've already achieved in the moment, all of our accomplishments are so easily forgotten.

It's hardly surprising when we rush from one career accomplishment to another, barely taking time to register what we did and the results that all your hard work created. Before we know it, the time comes for the next project or workplace goal, and it can feel almost inconvenient to stop and celebrate or acknowledge your wins.

On this week's episode of Career Espresso, I'm discussing why writing down your accomplishments in real time can make a significant difference to your career development and improve your confidence and outlook at work.

I'll be looking at how you can get started, find a system that works for you and most importantly one that you will keep coming back to!

  • Episode 52 - How to make a mid-year career review work for you
    Jul 3 2024

On this week's episode of Career Espresso, I'm talking about why a mid year career is essential for taking charge of your development as we find ourselves in the second half of 2024.

A mid year review doesn't only give managers a formal opportunity to check in with their team & their employees. Your mid-year review is also the time for you to talk about everything that you've been doing, highlight your accomplishments and make sure, most importantly, you feel heard and valued at work.

I'll look at the benefits of doing a mid-year review in your career and how you can take a DIY approach if you're still waiting for your boss to book yours in. There's no standalone career coaching question for this week as I'll be giving you lots of questions to reflect on as you go through the review process!

Don't forget to take a look at this week's podsheet to support and encourage further learning and exploration of the podcast topic.
