The truth is that I loved her, and I selfishly wanted to hold on - to her, to the man she had made me, to the life we could have. I wanted to dance with her in the light despite knowing that the darkness would find me anyway. Heartbreak was inevitable. Yet I held on to the sliver of hope that I was wrong, that love really was enough. Destiny isn’t something I buy into, but she makes me want to believe.

This broke me

Do NOT listen to the last couple of hours without being able to process it. I listened to the last few hours about 5 hours ago and I am still weeping. The f you are empathetic this one’s gonna hurt. Otherwise a lovely story. Beautifully written…

I’ve read ALOT of book, but this one BROKE me. So good… very well written… just don’t listen to it at work like I did though.
