About this listen

I've always heard there's a fine line between love and hate.

No one told me that line could destroy me.

Noah Fontaine. King of the school. My living nightmare. The object of my fantasies. My new stepbrother.

I did whatever it took to survive him. Every day he took more of me. I just didn't expect him to take my heart.

Because of the boy I once hated, I'd never be the same girl again.

Maybe I will listen to the other 2 books. They are too long.

I was a good story, but redundant breakups and silly adolescent clashes didn't do a lot for me. The story was much too long. and it seems there are 2 more long sequels (both for credit). I don't think so.

Good real real good

A little slow at first but it gets going soon enough. It has just the right amount of heat, crazy sister, mean girls, Friendzone peps, and parents (good and bad). It’s worth it.

I loved this book. The story. The pain. The characters.
I can’t wait for book 2

Love it!

This book was a surprise, it was all what I love in a hate- love romance. Can’t wait to finish the duet and see what Noah and Sky are up to next.

The Boy I Once Hated

The Boy I Once Hated is the first book in the Love and Hate duet by C.R. Jane & Ivy Fox. This book is told from dual points of view by Noah and Skylar. This book starts out when both characters are 16 years old.

Noah and Skylar's lives are both changed with they find out their parents are seeing each other, and they are about to move in together. Noah is upset because his mother just passed away, and Skylar's mom was her nurse. Skylar is smart, quiet, and shy, and Noah wants to get under her skin. Her sister is outgoing and stands up for Skylar a lot. A lot of things happen due to Noah and his followers. Skylar is one tough cookie, but sometimes things can just get to be too much.

As the book goes on, Noah realizes he has feelings for Skylar and Skylar back. They start to see each other in secret. Now at 18, Skylar has an opportunity and Noah will do anything so she does it. Can Skylar forgive Noah for everything he has done in the past? Can Noah get past his father and new stepmother's relationship? I can't wait to see what happens next and how Skylar and Noah's relationship turns out.

So dark!

I was confused how I can love a bully romance. But I do…I’m jumping into book 2!

The second half was better.

The first half was slow, and I hated Noah. If he treated me the way he treated Skylar at first, I would never fall for him. He redeemed himself in the second part of the book, and it got better. Not one of my favorites.

That ending 😫

I think I got myself with this one. 🥲

What to expect:
Bull-e
Taboo (step sibling)
High school

CW: cancer, death of a parent

This is part one of the duet and has left me completely distraught with this ending. Can I just go back in time? 😭

And the audio narrators did a great job with this one. I felt the whole range of emotions from both characters.

So good.

Heartbreaking, but good. You just wanna cry for the main characters, but the book is so good.
