He only looked away for a second.

Still haunted by the disappearance of his little sister, Amy, over 20 years ago, Joseph Bridgeman’s life has fallen apart. When a friend talks him into seeing hypnotherapist Alexia Finch to help with his insomnia, Joseph accidentally discovers he can time travel. His first trip only takes him back a few minutes, but his new-found ability gives him something he hasn’t felt for the longest time: hope.

Joseph sets out to travel back to the night Amy went missing and save her. But after several failed attempts, he discovers the farther back he travels, the less time he gets to stay there. And the clock is ticking.

With the help of Alexia, Joseph embarks on a desperate race against the past to save his sister. Can he master his new skill and solve the mystery of Amy’s disappearance before it’s too late?

Previously released as The Unexpected Gift of Joseph Bridgeman, this updated version includes extra chapters, new plotlines, and even deeper character development. It makes way for an expanded vision of the Joseph Bridgeman Series, with the first four books released in 2021 and 2022.

This book was an easy listen with excellent narration! Ray Porter is a favorite and does not disappoint. Going to the next book in the series with high expectations!

Well executed story with a proper twist!

Excellent from beginning to end. The narration was perfect too. Now I want to hear more of the story.

Fantastic

I actually liked this one pretty well. The voice was familiar and decent and the story was good (though a tad predictable near the end). Worth the listen- it’s included!

A pretty good listen!

I'm always looking for science fiction, preferably without magic elements. Almost all modern science fiction compared with the works decades ago of the likes of Issac Asimov is just awful. This book is better than most modern sci-fi though it doesn't compare with the old ones. The story is captivating and the premise is interesting. The narrator is worth a listen although I may have missed something - his accent is American but the story takes place in Great Britain and Mr. Porter does a reasonable job at making the other characters sound English. Kind of weird.

An Engaging Read

The book was great! I was playing it in the car and didn't realize that the four 11-12 year old girls with me were even listening to it - much less enthralled - until we got home and one of the girls asked for the name of the book!

I was expecting a more serious story and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of sad parts, but it doesn't hang over the whole story. I also think the author did a pretty accurate job portraying Joe's depression.

The narrator did a good job portraying all of the different characters, except the most important one. The story took place in England and everyone had an English accent, except Joe, who had an American accent. It made no sense and was just weird.

But other than that, I definitely recommend this for people looking for a light read!

Great story but didn't like narrator
