Disappointed

It's five chapters of recipes. Who puts a recipe book on audible. I was hoping more for research as to why 5:2 was better than water or juicing fasts

Just recipes

Nothing new, just a guy reading a bunch of recipes. I do not recommend this book. Very blah!

We need a PDF for the recipes!

What would have made The 5:2 Fast Diet for Beginners better?

The plan is simple and straight forward. The narrator speaks clearly. But THREE chapters of recipes being read...really? Why not provide a PDF for those that have purchased the audio copy, so that we can use that larger portion of the book?

What could Rockridge Press have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Provide recipes in a user friendly format.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Simple, clear instructions for the diet.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment.

Great information

I was looking for some basic information along with diet options. This book gave me exactly what I was looking for in terms of how to start dieting using 5:2 method. I’ve only been doing this for two weeks but I’ve lost 3 lbs.

read the other 5-2 book instead

This book differs from the full 5/2 diet book and contradicts it. The original 5/2 diet book states you should eat 500-600 calories on your fast days and eat normally on the other days. This book says to lower your calories some percentage on all the days, and then also have the fast days. This is NOT what the original 5/2 recommends at all. I can see lots of ways this would defeat the purpose by making it really difficult. It would be like being on a regular diet (hard enough) and then having two days where you fast (harder) and then going back to (difficult) regular diet. I think you would probably slow your metabolism with the dieting all the time and start feeling really deprived. The whole point of the 5/2 is that you do not slow your metabolism because you are not dieting all the time and your metabolism doesn't get used to less calories, and you get all the benefits of fasting because it is not hard to do it only two days a week knowing you will not be deprived tomorrow!
