I thought this series had the potential to be his best

And I believe that is still the case. This is a great series and I cannot wait for the next book!

enjoyable listening

a interesting story, which has moved the story along. but can see that the other books of the series will continue to interest us.

Much Better than Book One!

The libertarian ranting in book one is significantly toned down in book 2, so much so that I intend to continue reading the next couple of installments to see where the stories and characters go. The plot and character development in Hard Lessons is very well done. The political stuff was more muted and the book definitely benefits from it.

Awesome new series

2nd book was better than the first. Politics surrounding similar to that of Star Ship Troopers

Good follow on book to first

I enjoyed the first book quite a bit. interesting plot with variety of individual storylines. Author did well merging them all togther.

if I had any negative issues , it might be the battles between starships. That was weak at best, but fully undertake how tough it is to be believable and not need 2000 pages to get there.

Fun listening,, the narrator did a good job with multitude of characters.
