This is one of the best books I've read/listened to as I was able to relate to the contents. I visited Costa Rica 2 years ago and was amazed at the pace of life and the ease in which people went about their daily lives in the blue zone. This book brought it full circle and helped me to fully understand the way of life in Costa Rica, and all the other blue zone countries. The stories were enlightening and took me deep into the heritage of blue zone living, of which I would love to live!

Dan Buetter has gotten another interesting book out of his research. Just a note, a lot of his research is anecdotal. This is fine. Just understand this as you listen. A lot of lists in this book. This helps make it more concise but can make it a bit boring.
I took away: love others, have a good partner and solid friendships. Move a lot, volunteer often and follow you bliss and you will be happy!

Interesting and insightful

The author made some good points... but overall the book kept repeating itself and seemed like a pitch for socialism. In a nutshell we shouldn’t work very hard, ride bikes, and everything should be free.
