I found the story captivating. This third book in the series was good. The first two books were a bit more defined.
The story only really touched on Adrian’s last with Lucian. I wanted to know what happened with their relationship.
I have loved every book by Piper Scott. I just could not get past the ultimate Alpha, allowing for not only submission, to be degraded during play.
I could never picture Sterling as the epitome of Alpha.

I love this series

I hated Adrian when we first met him in the last book and I didn’t think I would warm to him. Boy did I fall for that poor broken soul. Sterling was everything he needed and then some. God I hate his mother, what a total hateful bitch. I’m so glad that Gabriel is back and I can’t wait to start his story.

I had forgotten how much I so disliked Adrian, for a large part of the book. Yes his mother put him through hell and he was blaming himself for the disappearance of his baby brother, but I still couldn't stand him. Even knowing how things ended up, it still took me time the second time around to warm up to him. Gabriel broke my heart all over again with his "love" for the man that snatched him as a young teen & turned him into a whore in his brothel. I don't remember who the guy was that took him out of the brothel so I can't wait for his book to be released in audio so I can revisit him. Anyway, back to this book, I loved Sterling. He was such a patient loving soul. He never wavered from his love for Adrian nor trying to break down those walls and then having to re-break them down when they were suddenly thrown back up. They were perfect for each other.

I had a hard time liking Adrian

I had a very hard time liking or empathizing with Adrian, although he really shined when it came to taking care of Gabriel. I just couldn't forgive trying to take away your own pain by hurting others the way Adrian did. Sterling is definitely a better person than I am. I was far more interested in Gabriel's story and what he went through and how he was brainwashed. Ms. Scott did an admirable job trying to redeem Adrian, and I really felt for his situation, but I couldn't sympathize with the way he responded to it by selfishly hurting others.

Mr. Pauley's narration was excellent, as always. He does a fantastic job expressing emotion, and moving effortlessly from alpha Sterling to meek omega Gabriel.

oh amazing

I loved this book and the audio.
I thought the characters were well developed.
The story kept you moving at a very good pace and kept you going thru out the whole story. Whether it was to yell at characters or try to reach thru your kindle to slap them. I mean really we all love Michael voice so he just upt the lovability of this story.

Deeply Engaging

Hypnotically drawn into this story by Pauley's voice, Scott's book shines through. Scott has written a masterful tale of Power Exchange and has also given us a tale of love. I found myself deeply engaged in this narration and left wanting more.
