Love Steve Jobz!

I listened to books one and two in this series and got this boxed set for book three. I went straight to that book in the library and sat back and enjoyed.

I love Steve Jobz! He's part private eye, part chick magnet, with only a little Columbo within. He's perfect. This mystery was its usual amount of special. Vincent Zandri knows his audience!

I've always enjoyed Wehrlen's narration as well. He never fails to deliver wonderful performances for a variety of characters.

I hope there is more to this series!!

worth the credit for sure

at first I wasn't sure I could get into this series but before I was half way done with the first book I was hooked. lots of twists in the story, fairly accurate details, and plenty of humor.

Three highly entertaining Steve Jobz tales!

The Steve Jobz PI Box Set is my latest conquest in conquering my Vincent Zandri to be read library. In this case I let Andrew Wehrlen do the reading for me as I happily wandered about listening to the three stories in this box set, while taking care of several mundane tasks. Andrew’s narration is perfect for these stories. I’ve been amassing a list of books he has narrated to listen to more of his storytelling.

I’ve spent a lot of time wondering why I enjoy Vin Zandri’s stories so much apart from the obvious fact of them being well written noir tales. This afternoon it finally hit me that these stories take me back to my teenage years, some 50 plus years ago. They bring back buying or procuring pulp novels and spending long afternoons or lazy days curled up lost in stores that transported me far from my geographical location.

I’ve never been to New York, but through the Steve Jobz, Dick Moonlight and nearly all the other Zandri stories and books I’ve read I feel like I just might recognize all of Albany landmarks.

If you enjoy stories that aren’t afraid to take on today’s sacred cows, have plenty of inuendo, a few well-placed adult situations wrapped up in one of Jobz investigations this box set is perfect. Oh, it would be remis of me not to mention these stories are populated by a cast of unforgettable characters, while Jobz and Nick Miller are great, my favorite character happens to be Henry. That lady is a hoot.

Lovable Loser

Steve Jobz makes the most of his name as a bumbling "PI" helping out the real Albany PD. Each of the 3 books finds him drinking too much, making bad decisions at every turn, and not having his way with the Ladies. Although, his internal dialogue is hilarious in that regard! The stories are not too hard to figure out the "who donit" but a satisfying blend of dark humor and mystery. Highly recommended as light and fun fare.

What a wonderful story to keep you intrigued. I was engrossed from the beginning. Totally enjoyed the narrator who made the story come alive.
