Build his fortress. Grow the pack. Save the realm.

After serving two terms in the Iron Army's Building Division, Flint Woodson is done with it all. With his four-legged friend at his side, he wants nothing more than to find a remote settlement, work as a guard or a builder, and find a wife.

He doesn't care about filling his remaining nodes with Skill Stones or wasting his life looking for a Class. Wyldbloods like him aren't destined for greatness.

But the realm is at war. The Fae are sick of humankind violating their treaties, their Wyld armies taking to the fields.

And Flint's plans go out the window when the Diskverse sends him a Life Quest.

Reawaken the Sleeping Fort.

Protect the village of Lea's Slumber.

Give the Champion of Equilibrium time to grow.

Saying "no" isn't an option when the quest involves the word Champion. Not if Flint wants to save the realm and have somewhere left to one day to live out his dream.

Have you been dreaming of a LitRPG with kingdom-building, flashy skills, and evolving dogs? Well, you just found it. The next series from the hit author of They Called Me Mad is here! Grab your copy today.

This book has great potential that's starting to be recognized it's had a good start ist and good foundation it flows pretty well the way you expected and that's the problem everything in the book gets to be a little paint by numbers even the ending It is a good read just don't expect anything spectacular yet But as I've said before it does show the promise I'll be coming better

Is a great potential starting to be recognized

I really liked the premise of this one, not a huge fan of the execution. Flint sounds too young and naive for a 13 year veteran, I'm unsure if this is an issue of writing or performance. My intuition is both. I think a story like this needs an experienced and canny protagonist to be truly believable.

Finally, I'm not a fan of the narrator. In general, but the way he voices the Pucks is truly an assault on my ears. Instead of throwing in the occasional Ram-like 'baas,' he decided to make their entire speech sound like that. It comes off almost like someone speaking through an electrocution.

I might give the next one a go, but it depends atm.

Decent

The goat voice is very grating and unnecessary, I am not sure if I missed a disclaimer.

It is okay

this was a pretty solid book, I liked the base building and could see some fun with that. and definitely the class where canines can be modified is pretty cool. but every single time that dang puck started talking. I just wanted to whip my phone across the room cuz it was so annoying. otherwise the narrator did a good job and he did fine with the voice for the puck. It was just annoying hearing the goat

pretty decent book. hate the goat voice

This book sounded like it would be right up my alley. It was a litRPG, it had a great cover, it had a bonded/beloved hound and a man who only wants to follow his dreams settle down and craft, and a narrator who sounded great. Only it didn't quite work out that way. And for me it didn't quite hit the mark... Yeah, for some reason I kept comparing it to his other series They Called Me Mad which ticked all the right buttons. Even in my own mind, that's a poor way to judge a book!

The bk didn't quite live up to my expectations!
