I can't believe I am even writing this. I wanted a fresh start, to follow a new dream that I had to find after I lost Elijah.

Moving to New York was the best thing for me. I had it all planned out: new friends, new job, and a new adventure.

And a new adventure I had: my best friend's dad. It was supposed to be a taboo fling...but it was so much more. We were tied together by more than a mutual connection.

It ran deeper than blood.

The thought of starting over again petrified me, but here I am, ready for a new beginning and the new adventure I craved, it just wasn't the one I had planned.

takes a little to get into.

Don't give up on this book or narration right away. by chapter 8-9 it's worth sticking around!! good story, and light spice.

Not sure how I feel about this

Author needs more research as a few weird cultural word choices threw me off like the word she used instead of boxers or the fact that British end texts with xs but it's not an American thing.

I felt like I got half the story with the OW drama, and him missing her big day was something that he should have made up for somehow. I mean he's had years to deal with her but chooses that ONE day to finally do it when he knew what it meant? didn't add up for me.

I still enjoyed listening to it, but missed his side in a few spots that would have added to the story better. I did enjoy the story, but the female voice had to switch from French to American to British and it got stuck in there a little. also would have liked the French lady to stay in the story a bit as it may have added better story line to the OW issue. overall average. needs...beta readers and a redraft maybe? not sure.

absolutely loved it. i was not expecting the last chapter to make me sob the way it did 😭

Just could not get into it.

This book is very slow in the beginning, and then both characters go from liking each other to snubbing each like a yo-yo. There were also inconsistencies in the storyline.

Fantastic!

I have read the book and loved it and I was so excited when it came to audio. Having Killian and Reese brought to my ears was a joy. Fantastic job by the narrators bring these characters to life.
