Divorce can be deadly . . .

Seven years ago, Austin Dash's dangerously jealous wife, Naomi, nearly stabbed him to death, an act that landed her in prison. Freed from her influence, Austin filed for divorce and took their young son to Atlanta for a fresh start. He established his own business and met the loving, gentle-hearted Brooke. Swept up in a charmed romance, they marry and prepare to welcome a new baby into their lives. But memories of Naomi haunt Austin's nightmares . . .

And now, she's back.

Recently released from prison, Naomi has one mission: to reunite her family. She'll do whatever it takes to bring Austin and their son back home, and she's got plenty of help. Her mother. Her sister. And her father—the whole tribe of Austin's ex in-laws, who might be as treacherous as Naomi . . .

But Austin and Brooke, with their new family on the line, won't give up without a fight.

The Exes
I don’t know a better way to say…THIS MF’er ain’t got no balls! How. Just. How. Or better yet…why???? I need answers. Guy whose crazy ass ex-wife tried to kill survived. Took his son and ran. Seven years later we find them happy with a new wife/mom who is pregnant and they are living their best lives. One thing. He forgot to tell his new wife his ex wife gets paroled tomorrow. So. What does the ex do? Recruit her crazy ass family (because she got it from somewhere) to help her get her family back. Now. Let me tell you. I love a good antagonist/villain in a story! The best ones never stop. Like. Until they die or get locked in a maximum penitentiary under 24/7 solitary confinement for the rest of their lives! The ex gives me everything I need. And this weak ass young man does not fight back. But oh how I was addicted. Completely addicted. And the twist. Oh. The. Twist. The only thing that could have made this book better was an epilogue, giving me details about the situation two months post. Also! I would have liked for the book to have been a bit longer with a lot more background details. I need details on some of the incidences that lead to where we are. Because the nuggets dropped during the book. I’ll even take a prequel. I will read a whole prequel. Fantastic job. Absolutely fantastic.

Damn That Twist

I like the story overall but Austin was too much of a simp beta male for me. He was in plenty of situations that as an Alpha male you shouldn't need to question or hesitate about doing or constantly second guessing the decisions you make even though a lot of the decisions he made were stupid. But, other than that it's a great story it was well written and narrated.

Annoying Main character

I enjoyed the storyline, at times the characters irked me, and I did not care for the narrators voice for the “southern accents” lol but still a good one

Another good one!

My first book by Massey was Nana! After the first book I've committed myself to wish listing all of his books.

This book kept my attention from beginning to the end. Loved!!!

The plot

The way the narrator pronounced the ending of her words was annoying.... The story was great and I pushed through... But I really wanted to stop listening to her...

Loved this story
