Publisher's summary

A world destroyed. An axe to grind. A path to infinite power. Welcome to my reality.

When the cultivators came to Earth, they destroyed our entire civilization in a matter of hours. Armies fell, cities burned, and that was before the moon turned red and filled our world with monsters.

Now, over a decade later, what's left of humanity slaves under the heels of our Qi-infused masters. The luckiest of us might even become one of them, they say—if we serve the Dynasty well enough and harness the power of Qi.

But I want none of that.

I'm sick of serving, and I want nothing to do with their world. Instead, I want them to pay for what they did to mine. Maybe that's why she found me: the fearsome, angry goddess who showed me a different path. Apparently, Qi is not the only route to power.

Now I'll fight to take back my planet, to grow strong enough to beat the cultivators at their own game. Through the power of blood, rage, and pain, I will free humanity or die trying.

For that's the Path of a Berserker.

Path of the Berserker is a progression fantasy novel that contains immortal cultivators, an oppressive intergalactic dynasty, rage-inducing imperial bureaucracy, magical spirit beasts, fantastical martial arts, and one pissed-off MC who's sick of it all. Fans of Western-style cultivation fantasy, post-apocalypse, and xianxia should enjoy.

amazing story, bad narrator.

An awesome rage filled story of a man who lost everything clawing his way up. it is severely held back by the narrator as some of his voices are just painful to listen to. still recommend but be prepared for some pretty grating voices.

Top Tier

This book has made it to my top 10 list with ease, such a great story and great progression that keeps you interested the whole time, Narration was amazing too, I feel like this will be one of the titles people share. POTB was EPIC and I can’t wait for the next one!

The superpower of making any fight possible

Like the title said, our MC basically has a power that makes his fights possible. It’s not a guaranteed win, just not impossible.

He works and then trains and then progresses. He gets boosts, but they’re limited. He always has conditions that have to be met.

I enjoyed the story and am looking forward to book 2.

If I had any complaints, it’s that our narrator isn’t the best at female voices, but you get used to it quick enough. And honestly I don’t mind because he was obviously cased for the MC’s voice. Good choice in my opinion.

Good Storyline

This is a very good adaptation to a very traditional type story. Global apocalypse meets cultivation without all the meditation and absorbing cores. if you are the type of reader who gets frustrated with MC not making progress this is a book you want to listen to.

it was entertaining and exciting and I found it easy to listen to. Worth the credit. I can't wait till the next one.

To the author don't change a thing I think you just found a platinum mine.

Good start to a new series

I don't know what this person was thinking about. Saying that the narrator was bad Sounds good to me. Looking forward for the next book.

Good story narration needs work

The story itself is good and was enough to keep me entertained. With that said and as many have said before for me the narrator cant voice women. It takes me out of the story and is distracting. At some points in the story the narrator is constantly yelling and it made me want to put this title down as I don’t want to keep fiddling with the volume every two minutes. All in all the narrator himself isn’t bad it’s just that some things need to be toned down. Then getting someone else to voice the girls as I think his voice fits the protagonist very well.
