Sweet and Hilarious

Drama teacher Everette is invited to a friend’s wedding which will also be attended by his ex-boyfriend, the one who got away, who is now a famous actor. To not look stupid, Ev really needs a plus-one.

After a rare photo is taken with Ev and his arch nemesis, the football coach, social media has decided they are dating. Luckily Coach Raleigh is okay with acting as his fake boyfriend.

Ev’s friend group is hilarious. When asked, Ev tells them he and Raleigh are only going on “fake dates”. They tell Ev, he and his fake b/f have great “fake chemistry”.

The book is very unrealistic, but also very sweet and funny. Iggy is hilarious as Raleigh. He is perfect for this book.

Sweet story, fake boyfriend romance. the drama teacher and the football coach. this was a fun story, well written book #2. Iggy Toma did a wonderful job with the narration. I love the way he brings a story and it's characters to life. This series is very easy to listen to and I enjoyed the first two books.

fun opposites attract romance

Iggy Toma did a beautiful job in bringing these men to life. You could easily tell whose pov you were in when they were talking and whose chapter you were in. Was a great listen overall.

I don't know why I didn't read this one sooner. Read others in this universe and yet skipped and now kicking self for the choice. Everett and Raleigh have a beautiful banter where you can not tell if they are friends or actually really don't like the other. From different upbringing, they have their past, make them judge for their present, and when they let their walls down, these two are just so much fun together. As with the rest of the south rock high teachers, they have a bond in their friendships that will last. With these groups intermingling making one big beautiful happy family of friends for life .

Cute story

Such a cute story. Definitely what I was in the mood for today. Little angst and a HEA for Ev & Raleigh. Side characters are great. Can’t wait to see who has the next story.
