Fantastic! with a twist

Such a great story! It's a bit disjointed in the beginning on purpose because it all ties up soon enough. I'm still confused about a few parts like Blake running into his family at the art exhibition, though later he doesn't have parents? I know foster child and all that, but it seems like that was who he ended up with for better or worse. A great story anyway and I can't wait to read more from this author!

All it’s tropes done right

First, Blake is one of my favorite characters I’ve read in the last few years. Second this story is extremely well written. I’m not always huge fan of first person pov with only one narrator, but here it’s critical to live in the feelings and trauma responses, to make guesses at the secrets and to fail to know the twists this story takes. I also appreciate the lengthy amount of time we get in relationship development and happiness before the bond is tested to its limit. This story was not too slow or to rushed. You will love it

Why did I wait so long??

I had this on my TBR list for a while but something always held me back. Now ’m so glad I listened and I’m mad I waited so long 😂 . This was a really well rounded, well written and believable story. Character development was well done and the plot twist was something I didn’t see coming. I’m really excited to listen to the next in the series! Narration was 10/10

Love this book

I couldn’t wait for this to be made into an audiobook and I’m so happy it’s out and I got to listen to it. Love it.

Wonderful

A good plot, deep characters, love that builds slowly and with a lot of emotion... the crisis towards the end is resolved in a mature way and without unnecessary drama. The narrator is excellent except for the fact that he didn't really do different voices for the two heroes and sometimes it was a bit unclear who said what, but other than that he was excellent.
