Ryan: I'm the newest Captain of the Devils, Chicago's NBA team, and the last thing I needed this year was for Indy Ivers, my sister's best friend, to move into my apartment. She's messy, emotional, and way too tempting.

But when the team's General Manager vocalizes his blatant disapproval of my promotion to Captain, referring to me as an unapproachable lone wolf with no work-life balance, I can't think of a better way to convince him otherwise than pretending to date my outgoing roommate. The only problem? Faking it feels far too natural.

Indy: I never imagined I'd be living with my best friend's brother, NBA superstar Ryan Shay. Even more unbelievable? He needs me to act as his loving girlfriend who's suddenly changed him into a friendly and approachable guy.

Soon blurred lines make it almost impossible to separate real from fake. Falling for my roommate was never part of the deal, especially when Ryan is quick to remind me that he doesn't believe in love.

I'm a romantic and can't help fantasizing that he'll change, but soon enough, I find myself questioning if sharing a roof with my best friend's brother was the right move after all.

Contains mature themes.

The story was good for 80% of it. But the final “crisis” was kinda dumb. And both narrators were horrible with opposite gender main characters and side characters.

Annoying narration

This author knows how to make the perfect men. The characters were so well developed, and I’m glad we were able to see the characters from the last book

Such a pleasure to read

The damaged and complicated leading men, the strong and determined yet vulnerable leading ladies, the found family dynamic and all the amazing athletes interconnecting, the layered and soulful chemistry she creates, the delicious drama and swoony moments and ALL THE SPICE! I binged the whole series in like a week. Of course, I read them all out of order, but every book is a beautifully written, emotionally gripping, and 100% addictive. I just FLOVE them.

I also just re-read The Right Move on audio, and I loved the beautiful love story between Ryan and Indy even more the second time around. Indy is my soulmate heroine- her journey with her fertility, her personality quirks, her determination paired with her softness, it just resonated so much with parts of my own heart and soul. And I will never stop loving how Ryan opens up to her, falls for her, and gah the epic gestures big and small! The audios are great for those who love audio!

Beautiful and spicy

After having this series on my "to-be-read" list for far too long, I figured it was time to give it a go. A friend suggested I start with The Right Move, and thank goodness for her because I am completely obsessed with this story. I now own two editions of this series, and I'm not sorry about it.

Ryan Shay is perfection. He set the bar for book boyfriends. I can't believe I am saying this, but I don't think any of my other book boyfriends compares to this man. Ryan is a bit grumpy and doesn't trust easily, but he knows how to love in ways that count. He doesn't shout his love off the rooftops; he loves quietly and deeply. I adored Indy. She is a hopeless romantic and a ball of sunshine. Indy is fun, intelligent, confident, and sassy. She is also extremely loyal and takes care of the people she loves.

I loved Ryan and Indy together. They are easily one of my favorite book couples. I loved how Indy brightened up Ryan's world, literally and figuratively. Ryan and Indy are opposites, but they have similar issues. I loved how they provided comfort and support for each other. Their connection was amazing. The banter and chemistry between Ryan and Indy were top-tier. I loved the push and pull, tension, and communication between them. Ryan is swoon-worthy and does so much to show how much he cares for Indy. There are so many memorable moments: coffee making, bookshelf building, and ASL learning.

The Right Move is hands down one of the best sports romance books I've ever read. I can't believe it took me so long to jump on this train. I refuse to get off and will read everything Liz Tomforde writes. The characters and situations were real and relatable to me. I appreciated the inclusion of infertility and the deaf/hard-of-hearing community. This book should be required reading. This story is beautiful and made me emotional in all the best ways. The Right Move reminds us that sometimes quiet love is truly the loudest.

NARRATION:
Juniper Young and Sean Crisden did a wonderful job with this story. They portrayed the characters well and gave them lots of personality. Juniper and Sean were the perfect voices for Indy and Ryan. The story is amazing, and the audio made it even better. I loved having Ryan Shay in my ears.
