Lesson #1: Trust no one.

Eve has a good life. She wakes up each day, kisses her husband Nate, and heads off to teach math at the local high school. All is as it should be. Except…

Last year, Caseham High was rocked by a scandal involving a student-teacher affair, with one student, Addie, at its center. But Eve knows there is far more to these ugly rumors than meets the eye.

Addie can’t be trusted. She lies. She hurts people. She destroys lives. At least, that’s what everyone says.

But nobody knows the real Addie. Nobody knows the secrets that could destroy her. And Addie will do anything to keep it quiet…

From the New York Times bestselling author Freida McFadden comes a chilling story of twisted secrets and long-awaited revenge.

I was captivated all the way through but 3 min left, had to stop and call my best friend and say “whaaat??” But not in a good way. Flaws in the twist that do not make sense BUT….. I didn’t hate the book and that’s saying a lot for me. Lol

Twists but almost annoying?

Really was excited for this one but it really was not good (imo). First it was way too long. If it had just started at part II it would have been way better. I generally love this author’s stuff but for some reason, overall, the story was just not good-enough and did not have nearly enough true twists or surprises to make-up for the poor and distracting performance. While the very very very end was a true surprise, for me the entire story was wholly predictable. To make matters worse, the female performance was unfortunate to the point of distraction ; so much so I almost quit several times. Would not recommend. Sorryyy.

Just so - so… hard to get through

Satisfied my sweet tooth for what happens next but leaves a lot of room in my brain.

Well, she does it again. Right when you have it figured out she throws you for a complete loop. The only complaints are some of the shoe designer names being mispronunced and didn't she say the shoe guy was married or his wife was calling? Doesn't seem possible considering where they should've first met wasn't the shoe store.

I had to keep reminding myself that the women were under the influence of a psychopath so what would seem reasonable was opposite of how they behaved. Nonetheless an excellent book that you'll want to finish right away.

Everything was pretty predictable but still a pretty fun read. Only the very end surprised me. It’s worth a listen just for entertainment.
