Narration ruins a compelling continuance of the series

Whoever approved a narrator voicing a love interest as a whiney snot nosed teenager needs to reevaluate their career choice. Dr Love’s rendition of Felix was awful to the extent that it threw me out of the story every time. I’m baffled that this was published. I love Nyla’s work and the risks they take, this narration did not do the story justice.

The most adorable psychopath!

I'm not sure there's ever been anyone more perfectly cast in an audiobook than Walker Williams as Felix Darcey. He truly NAILED this performance! I also loved Brent Billings' smooth voice as Dr. Love, although his voice for Felix wasn't my favorite. This would have been FANTASTIC duet style! I had read this book prior to listening so I knew what was going to happen, but I still found myself sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation! These narrators really brought the story to life, and it was the perfect way to do a re-read of my favorite little psycho and his doctor! 🥰

Love these characters and the voices are a perfect fit!!

Alabaster Penitentiary series is one of my favorites by one of my favorite authors and these narrators didn’t disappoint! Check the trigger warnings! This series isn’t for everyone, but if you like dark MM romance you might love it like I do!

Felix ~ Lem

Felix "The Carver" Darcy is the prize possession of The Ivory and he is determined to figure out what makes him tick so he brings in Dr. Lemuel Love to do his thing and get into the mind of the serial killer.

Dark, twisted, and oh so captivating. I was sucked in from the very beginning and never wanted the book to end. Felix is my favourite Nyla K character now and I want so much more of him. I love how Felix was able to push Lem out of his comfort zone but at the same time, Lem was able to bring out the loveable side in Felix. I love the flashbacks into Felix's life and how he became "The Carver" and ended up in Alabaster Pen.

𝘈𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘳𝘺 series gets continuously darker and more twisted with every new story and needs to be read in order.

🎙️ Brent Billings and Walker Williams were unbelievably great. Brent does a great job of bringing Lem to life but I struggled with his version of Felix. Walker was magical and almost unhinged at times, making Felix life-like. This was my first time listening to both narrators.
