“A finely crafted novel.”—Midwest Book Review

it was okay

it started slow and didn't have much story but it all came crashing together at around 80%. wish it had started better. the 2nd book is way better and worth a read.

Love a good second chance romance

This audio was outstanding!! I loved the story and the back and forth between past and present.

Cute story

I thought the story was great and the narrators did a really great job. Totally personal preference, but the female narrator’s male voice was a little cringey and the downward inflection of her questions were kind of annoying too.

Read this in one sitting. I’m not usually a fan of past/present timelines but this was done well. Then again there isn’t anything Devney Perry can’t do.
This was a lot faster paced than I’m used to with DP books but it worked. I am so glad it didn’t take the whole book for him to forgive her. And all the moments with her dad… 🥹 can’t relate, but dang it did pull on my heart strings.
Anyhoo she’s set up the next book and I cannot wait to read that one day I know it’s going to be good.

I’d give it 6 stars if I could

West and Indya’s story held me captive from the moment I started. The story is such a powerful lesson in self discovery, compassion, forgiveness and grief. I can say with confidence that no book this year can top this one for me (although watch Devney top it with Sunlight). I knew that I loved each of the narrators and anticipated they would be great, but what they were was beyond spectacular. I’d give West and Indya 6 if I could.
