Cute and dark

Chaos is the first book in the Beneath the Secrets series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Since this is a dark romance, I’d assumed the MMC, Jax, would be cruel to the FMC, Sofia. But I was wrong.

Jax was actually so sweet and caring about Sofia (and his surprise daughter). He loved them so much, and he never wanted to do anything to hurt them. But…he was also broken and hurting.

I really liked how this focused on Jax’s mental health. He truly went through all the emotions and took the steps to better himself.

For a dark romance, I wasn’t expecting just how emotional this would be. But, it was very emotional, at times.

Anyway, Jax and Luna were perfect for each other. He was broken and she was strong enough to take care of herself AND help him battle his demons.

This was a great start to a new series, and I can’t wait for the next book.

CJ and Sebastian did an amazing job bringing the story and the characters to life. Like I’d previously mentioned, this story was emotional, and the way CJ and Sebastian performed those scenes was outstanding.

My god I loved this story! Thank you BNA for the ALC of this book. I truly thought it was going to be darker thank I expected but was pleasantly surprised with an amazing love story with mafia elements! I can't wait to listen to the next!

I loved the story. Very modern and touch mental health which was also very cool and dedication and a relationship now a days one moves on like a relationship was nothing. Cute story.

Jax 😍

Loved the book and the message about mens mental health. People always think that a man is not suppose to break but they have feelings too. They are allowed to break and cry aint nothing wrong or less manly about that...... That is one way to find out your only a couple of hours Husband is cheating on you. Even though i didn't want to see Sofia in pain he didn't deserve her and glad his ex best friend spilled the beans. But Jaxs and her first night together 🥵🥵🥵. Even though he misses the first year of his baby girl and not begin there for Sofia during her pregnancy i think he handled it well when Sofia finally told him. But it did add to his mental without either of realizing it. As a mother of three boys i hope i showed my boys that it is ok to show your feelings not just because you cry doesn't mean you aint manly. I know Jax wasn't in the right place when he met Sofia and he did what he thought helped him forget. But after he thought he had cheated on Sofia and he wouldn't get his family back. The black hole he went into is so scary to know that alot of men out there don't want to let their feels out for either not having someone to vent to or thinking the world is better without them is scary. He though Sofia had to do something so drastic to show him he isn't alone im happy she go through to him. Loved Jaxed and Sofia and their little family they got their happy ever after and Jax is getting the help he needs. Hated Anna at first i thought she was a good friend but right away i could tell something was wrong with her.
