In my opinion this book started slowly, The build up of the characters and their story was long, and sometimes was a bit uninteresting (to me) but understandably now that i've finished the book.. At about 2/3 the way through things started to pick up. After that... This book gets your mind working, Things you thought you knew, are not. things you think will happen.. well I'll let you find out. The relationship between the two, the mind games, it keeps you on your toes for sure! The voice actors are spot on in this book, The real life emotions put into their reading definitely makes this book enjoyable to listen to. I think the book definitely had a good story line.

Slow start, Fire ending

Born, Darkly by Trisha Wolfe was my first psychological thriller, and it completely pulled me in from the very first chapter. The story is intense, layered, and constantly keeps you questioning what’s real, what’s manipulation, and who is truly in control.
The dynamic between criminal psychologist London Noble and convicted serial killer Grayson Pierce Sullivan is fascinating and unsettling in the best way. The mind games, moral ambiguity, and escalating tension create a story that feels both intelligent and unpredictable. Just when I thought I had the plot figured out, another twist would flip everything on its head.
The audiobook performance takes this story to an entirely new level. Samantha Brentmoor delivers an outstanding portrayal of London—confident, sharp, and emotionally complex. Her performance perfectly captures London’s intelligence and inner conflict as she navigates a dangerous psychological maze.
Jacob Morgan is equally captivating as Grayson. His voice work adds depth, charm, and menace to a character who is as compelling as he is unsettling. The duet narration creates incredible chemistry between the two characters, making the tension and push-and-pull dynamic feel incredibly immersive.
The trials and tests throughout the story are dark and cleverly constructed, and the ending left me immediately needing the next book. I finished this audiobook completely invested and eager to continue the series.
If you enjoy psychological thrillers with strong performances, complex characters, and unpredictable twists, Born, Darkly is absolutely worth the listen.

Wow! Putting this off was a mistake and so was reading this on a Monday morning because I will be reeling for the rest of the week! This was incredible. Book one in the Darkly, Madly Duet. Renowned Criminal Psychologist x Genius Serial Killer.

This story took me for a spin. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Both characters were so well thought out. What is right verses what is wrong. I mean what is up, what is down? There are secrets on both sides. It is giving criminal minds meets Harlequin and The Joker. Please, do yourself the favor. Read this!

If that is not enough, the book is narrated by Jacob Morgan and Samantha Brentmoor. Neither can do any wrong. Together!? Criminally insane performance. Just outstanding!

Just finished the Darkly, Madly duet. I devoured this audiobook duet in two days. Could not put it down. So good. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if not more. So captivating, not knowing who was playing who. Cat and mouse, but you are never quite sure which is which until close to the end. Loved it.

It is defifintly a DARK romance. Check your triggers. The narration is duet, and truly one of the most delicious 🔥🫦🔥🫦🔥🫦 back and forth chemistry between the characters I've heard. Lots of phycological sparring and 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶.

This audiobook series released recently, October 2025 I read. And my goodness it is so good. Highly recommended must for Dark-Rom girlies. Probably not for lighter readers. Do Check your triggers.

Wow. Loved this Duet.
