Critic reviews

"Peeke's style, a mix of cheeky humor and not-so-gentle cajoling, as well as individual success stories, will likely motivate many readers to take the Peeke Challenge and become 'Peeke Performers'." (Publishers Weekly)

Just the advice that I needed.

Between OA, DJD, neuropathy, and a few other health issues, this book offers the solution. I'm familiar with Body for Life, but I wondered if women shouldn't add in Yoga, Pilates to their resistance & cardio training. I've just plotted out my schedule for next week.

a must listen for women of all ages

great information and very motivational but she was kind of hard for me to listen to at times when she thought she was being light-hearted and humorous I thought she was bordering on being rude and mocking. example get off the couch " girlfriend " and move your behind! ugh:/

Good info

I completed the original Body for Life program more than 20 years ago, and it was super effective. this is all good, but nothing particularly new if you're familiar with Body for Life

This Book Has Not Aged Well

Written in 2009 part of this book is a study of nutrition "science." So much of the eating rules have changed. This book is a snap shot of it's time. A much better book - very helpful - is "Younger Next Year for Women.'

Weight coach in your ear

I both read the book and listened to it. Dr. Peeke's can-do personality comes through in her narration. It's like having a friend in my ear giving me hints on getting the weight off. Awesome!

great listening

This is very informative and enjoyable to listen to. The only downside is that there is nothing that you can print to refence for all of her suggestions.

Body for Life for Women

I have read numerous health books for women and found many to be interesting and helpful. This one provides little, if any, new information. The tone of Dr. Peeke is annoying and almost demeaning. There are many other books on health and fitness that are much better and motivating than this one.
