great purchase

Very pleased with this purchase! I haven't been able to go to a therapist in quite some time but I've already received more from this book in two weeks than I have from probably ALL of my past therapists combined. Well, one specific therapist excluded, but he was amazing! (DBT therapist)

highly suggested

The overall quality of the book is excellent. The worksheets are easy to understand, and each section does a good job leading up to them, and then into the next section.

loved it

What i loved about this book is how practical it is.
It clarified the theory they have for CBT! But at the same time gave very clear instructions on what one can do to APPLY this theory.
I have many books on CBT, and this was the best by far...
I would recommend you download the CBT application from the app. Store, its a GREAT tool to apply the thinking strategy of CBT in a structured way

amazing

After being in a rehabilitation program that focuses on CBT, this book is a great refresher to help after you leave. I had a more severe case of anxiety and depression which required a more inpatient program. After I left, I struggled to keep up with the daily activities that I needed to do. This book was great to help me keep on track. I highly recommend if you can't go to into a program but want to learn the same information.

retrain your brain

"Retrain Your Brain: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 7 Weeks" is a worthy and unique addition to the mental health workbooks that are on the market today. Dr. Gillihan very clearly lays out the theory and "active ingredients" that make cognitive behavioral therapy work, produces rich and compassionate examples of individuals struggling with depression and anxiety that purposefully illustrate the potential benefits of cognitive behavioral therapy, and engages the reader through a series of interactive activities and skills-building exercises designed to help alleviate suffering and improve quality of life.

Wonderful audio book

This book caused me to acknowledge how much simpler it tends to be to assume responsibility for uneasiness and it's side effects than I had initially suspected. The clarification of how you can totally change your perspective when managing nervousness is a stunning disclosure.

Perfect for Beginners

The writer gives you the foundation to CBT to start with, indicating you the thought behind it and helping you to comprehend its model, before giving you bit by bit how to start your self practice with CBT, in any event, conceding an exercise manual in the last minutes.

This was a very instructive book

This was a very instructive book. I appreciated that it was so natural to peruse, with just the intermittent word that I needed to gaze upward. I love the way simple it is to follow the means.
