Publisher's summary
It's not their fight, but they can't help getting drawn into the conflict!
Embark on a thrilling journey with the Rebel Runaways as they venture into a divided America torn apart by the Civil War. Their quest for justice begins in the bustling streets of New York after encountering an elusive spy. Determined to pursue their target, they take to the skies in the airship Rebel. Action and adventure are never far behind, but the Rebel Runaways find it's not just a simple case of picking sides.
In a gripping tale of courage and resilience, follow the Rebel Runaways as they confront the chaos of war. Will they emerge victorious, or will the tumultuous winds of war claim their fate?
Escape to the Skies is the third book in "The Rebel Runaways" series. The series features adventure stories that blend fiction with actual places, creating an alternative history and spotlighting the period when Steampunk began.
If you enjoy books like The Sharpe Series by Bernard Cornwell, Freedom Pledge by M.J. Twomey, or Mercenary by David M. Gaughran, you will love this story.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
It's 2032 and we live in the worst cyberpunk future. Kiera is gigging her ass off to keep the lights on, but her polycule's social score is so dismal they're about to lose their crib. That's why she's out here chasing cheaters with Angel Herrera, a luddite P. I. who thinks this is The Big Sleep. Then the latest job cuts too deep-hired to locate Herrera's ex-best friend (who's also Kiera's pro bono attorney), they find him murdered instead. Their only lead: a stick of Nag Champa incense dropped at the scene.

Story
In Victorian London, in an age when steam and clockwork power is all-important, a series of events throws Oliver, Jake, and Charlotte into conflict with the authorities. They come from very different backgrounds and join forces with an escaped slave, a street urchin, and a prostitute to form an airship crew—The Rebel Runaways. With the country in the hands of the army and beset by street gangs, escape is their priority. When they realize the depths to which the corrupt government and a wicked industrialist are willing to stoop, they turn to face the enemy.

Great Continuation of the Story
Excellent story with a couple of great twists. The author does a great job of covering historical topics. This is a really great continuation of the storyline. I'm looking forward to the next volume in this story.
