Brenna

There are some people in life who know exactly how to push your buttons. For me, it's Rye Peterson. We can't spend more than 10 minutes together before we're at each other's throats, which makes working together that much harder. Rye is the bassist for Kill John, the biggest rock band in the world, and I am his publicist. It doesn't help that the man is gorgeous, funny, talented, and...never takes anything seriously.

But everything changes when he overhears something he shouldn't: a confession made in a moment of weakness. Now the man I've tried so hard to ignore is offering me the greatest temptation of all - him.

Rye

Brenna James is the one. The one I can't have. The one I can't get out of my mind. I managed well enough - until I heard her say she's as lonely as I am. That she needed to be touched, held, satisfied. And I could no longer deny the truth: I wanted to be the one to give her what she craved.

I convinced her that it would just be physical, mutual satisfaction with nothing deeper. But the moment I have her, she becomes my world. Now, I've got to show Brenna that we're so much better together than we ever were apart.

Contains mature themes.

Good read/listen

It kept me interested and checked most of the boxes. Not riveting or all consuming for me (hence the 4), but a good one nonetheless.

Brillance

From first book to last the author displayed sheer brilliance. I love this book as well as all before. Did not think I would because it was about musicians but the author thoroughly proved me wrong and I love that. I love that each book folds into the next, seamlessly.

Great series, but beware of female narrator

I hated the female narrator. No one speaks like this. She was awful. I just skipped over her parts. She almost ruined the book. I only continued because I wanted to finish the series.

Love Me Some Rye

ok... Rye is my new book boyfriend. she is such a sweetheart and I'm inlove! Brenna don't deserve him from being so stupid! the narration was perfect and loved all the books and characters... but I wish there would be a book on whip. he seems like he would definitely have the ladies heart melt.

Great story in a great series

I was happy to finally hear Brenna and Ry’s story. It was very well done. The female narrator however, sounds like she is fresh out of broadcasting school. Reading each sentence as if she is on the news. Every sentence has the same cadence. It was a bit hard to overcome. Male narrator was wonderful, especially with the accents.

Brenna & Rye

This book was pure perfection! I was hooked from the get go. I didn’t expect this book to be so great, that it surprised me. Rye was 10/10. JF Harding did him 100% justice and is such a great narrator. Brenna’s character showed growth through the book.

I loved Kristen Callihan’s writing with her pop culture references, the wonderful banter between the boys and girls, her view of New York, the romanticism and excitement of living in the city, the music. So good. Eventhough, Jax is my favorite Kill John, I ended up loving the mountain man sized Rye so much. I don’t know why this series is not popular on booktok, because they should be considering some of the books that gets recommended on it. I’ll be picking up more of her books to listen. All in all, well worth the credits! Highly recommend!

The best one in the series (almost)

I loved the narrators so much and think they did a great job! The way Harding impersonates Kills and his relatives is everything.
This made me laugh a lot and was cute as hell! I am so glad we finally get to see their story. By far: Brenna is the mist lovable heroine from the series. I am gladly impressed did no think I was going to enjoy this that much: now i really want to see Whips story and have bits and pieces of the rest!

Cute story

I liked the continuation of the story line but I really couldn’t handle the narrators voice; no one speaks that way, I skipped parts bcus of her but the ending is good.
