Publisher's summary

Grounded in cutting-edge science but translated for people who speak emoji, Find Your F*ckyeah disrupts the warm and fuzzy "personal growth" fads made fashionable by mock gurus and self-proclaimed #selfcare experts. This bold guide combines humor, pop culture, and psychology to show us why the one-size-fits-all success formulas and trendy morning routines keep us caught in a cycle of boredom and stress, never fully sustaining our happiness.

With hard science, guided experiments, and modern wisdom - from Beyoncé to Carl Jung - Alexis Rockley takes us step-by-step through the biological, cultural, and social factors that create our self-limiting beliefs. Debunking self-sabotaging ideals like "You Are a Living Brand" and "You Have One Calling," Rockley encourages us to discover our real, uncensored selves and find a sense of purpose, even when we don't have all the answers. For those of us tired of feeling the pressure to be better, do more, and work faster - to self-optimize and fall in line - Find Your F*ckyeah teaches us how to find joy where we are right now and to let our genuine self-expression guide us.

This IS the info you’ve been searching for in every self help book you ever bought.

Holy value!! Tactical, science-directed, with a witty and cynically-positive delivery. This is the workings of an inner dialogue of someone who really figured it out and didn’t try to package it as a 12-step program. I can’t say thank you enough.

Best self help book ever? Maybe...

So this is a great self help book because the author not only has researched the science of self improvement (in all of its various forms) like so many others - but SHE TELLS YOU HOW TO DO IT!! With concrete examples I might add. Of the many books in this area that I’ve read that suggest developing a mindfulness practice, this is the first one that explains to you what it feels like when you’re doing it! Also she’s an excellent reader of her book, I highly recommend it.

My Five Star Favorite

Completely fascinating and rejuvenating, a read where the author quickly gets to the business of stripping away unnecessary b.s.
so commonly found in s.d. books.

Well Written and Better Read

FYFY! Is such a breath of fresh air when it comes to a book dealing with figuring out life in one way or another. Alexis Rockley has not only done her homework and read countless studies but knows how to reign it all together with some personality and excitement making her particular blend of self help a much more digestible pill. Not only that but she will remind you again and again that this isn’t another “quick fix just do this one thing” type of book that pretends we are one tweak away from living our best life. We might have to find our fuck yeah more than once and we might have to go down our own road but she’s giving us the adaptable tools to do just that.

So that’s the well written part. Now onto the better read part.

If the cadence, lilt, and unfiltered joy of the author reading her work to you doesn’t get you motivated to put some Fuck Yeah finding into practice then you miiiiiiight be in a coma. You can hear that Alexis isn’t bullshitting any of us with each enthusiastic sentence read. Listening to this felt like I was having a conversation with a very very smart beat friend who cares enough to have the difficult conversations with me as well.

10 out of 10. Would recommend.

F* yeah get on your nerves

Nice gimmick to call a book 'find your f* yeah', but the repeated 'f* yeah' gets on your nerves. author is insightful and it's another variation of 'be true to yourself'.
