Where the story begins

This is one of the best books in the series and where almost all the major players come together. This is where Celaena grows from a girl to a woman. All of it, packed with broodiness, enemies, mystery, and lots of action.

Elizabeth Evans has a doggo.

Ch 29 22:20 - 22:35
You can hear her dog barking in the background.

Great series, better than the Court books in my opinion.

Hooked

I loved this book. I rarely reread books these days but this is one I kept going back to to relisten because I don’t want to miss a single detail.

So good!

The way this book flowed was fantastic! I’ve read them all, but I’m on a reread and decided to buy them all. SO worth it. The story is great, Elizabeth’s voice fits so well. 10/10

like the series very slow though until the end

I love acotar and this series is just a little bit slower than acotar so it's been hard to get through. since the end of heir of fire was a good kick off to queen of shadows.

i thought this would be worse as an audiobook. i was wrong.

this reader is incredible. she has a different and distinct voice for each character. at first, it may seem a little ridiculous sounding, but if you suspend disbelief just a little tiny bit, you almost forget it’s a woman doing a man’s voice. i love this series so much and was really worried that an audiobook would ruin it but i had a concussion so i had no other option but it’s amazing. i can’t wait to finish the series in audiobook format!!
