Not bad, but not great
One needs to read the book just because it's about Google and because it does contain an occasional interesting story or tip.
But I felt the book was poorly done.
I was hoping to get more information on the difficult decisions Googlers had to make, their thinking and choices they made, their reflections on how it worked out, things they wish they did, things they wish they didn't do, and words of wisdom for future generations of entrepreneurs.
I wanted to hear more about Google Plus. Why it didn't take off they predicted it would. I wanted to hear more about Google Video, and how it later was merged with YouTube. I wanted to hear more about the monetisation models they tried, what worked, what didn't, and why what they have now eventually succeeded.
There was some of it, but very little.
Too much focus on how great Google is and only a discussion of successful outcomes.
Not a complete waste of time, some good info on how Google hires people (though mentioned their sting with riddles only briefly). But I expected much more.

Nice book!
The book is quite interesting, besides getting to know some of the inner workings of google, it also gives you good advise and examples on how you can boost your career or company.

Enjoyable and Consumable

Well told story. Actionable and entertaining.
This book was motivated because of the content. It was not written with a lot of hype, instead, a recount of the authors lives. While the book authors are Google employees, the story was bigger than that of just google. It is a culture that Google has created that creates a passion for greatness in our business culture.

Good perspectives from digital business leaders
This book provides very good perspectives from the leaders of a successful business in the digital information age. Once your industry's data is tracked and digitized, hang on for dear life. Digitization seems to be the difference between annual 2.5% improvement growth and what the authors call "10 times" improvement. I found this book insightful, and we will incorporate some of the ideas into our business.

A bit rose colored
It's a good view of one of the most important companies in the world. It's half aspirational with stories supporting an ideal state that exists in moments and half this is what worked for us.
Worth the read but needs to be held in context.
