full of wonderful ideas and exercises

the real value of this book is the authors exercises that come in each chapter. for example finding similaries between 2 items like oriental rugs & psychoanalysis (they both have complex patterns that repeat) the book is filled with these. They are very obvious exercises that lead to a more engage life or single experience. Very fun book. get ready to take notes! :)

Repetitive

Good book overall. It was slightly repetitive but the information was great. I would recommend it.

I love Leonardo Da Vinci but this was bad

I didn't like this book. I tried and I listened to the whole thing. it's his interpretation of how he wants to have you think.

THIS BOOK IS A AWESOME

I REALLY ENJOYED THE WAY HIS CREATIVE PROCESS IS IS SIMILAR LIKE MINE. INTERESTED IN ADDING SOME MORE OF HIS FORM AND STRATEGY TO MY ROUTINE THINKING. I LEARNED WHY HE THINKS CREATIVITY IS THE WAY TO LIVE AND THATS WHAT IM INTERESTED IN . HE ALSO SHOWS YOU HOW TO THINK WHILE YOU EAT.

Inspiring and great book

Very inspiring and a lot of hidden knowledge in this book. I read for the first time 10 years ago and re-read it know. I realized that I applied many of the techniques and tried to follow parts of the teachings in the book. Other parts I still need to embrace. It’s from about that year I read it my life radically changed to the better. I recommend this book as probably the most influential book I ever read.

Kinda 3 books in one

Kinda 3 books in one. The first part is about Leonardo and his processes. The second part is more of a self help book based on Leonardo principles. Lastly it is a push to learn to draw and focus on art skills.

wasn't quite what I expected

It amounted to drawing mind maps with extensive mentions and descriptions of art utensils and how drawing helps one see. a bunch of how to live well stuff.
