I like the way this audiobook is written, it has a bit of a narrative and personal touch to the writing style. Valuable insight to cultivate a strong parent-child relationship

As a mom to a 17-month-old, just beginning to navigate the toddler stage for the first time, I’m glad I came across this book when I did. While the book focuses on strategies for parenting explosive children, most of the tips shared are broad enough to apply to any parent-child relationship.

The author mentions that she didn’t realize her own emotional trauma and baggage until having kids of her own, and this is something I deeply relate to. Being thrown into this realization can make life as a new parent particularly challenging, but I loved this book’s focus on taking care of yourself in order to be the best parent you can be for your little one(s). I particularly appreciated the assistance with understanding how to utilize affirmations to your benefit.

Every parent wants to cultivate a positive relationship with their child(ren), and this book highlights how to do this through cultivating honesty and empathy. I believe that every parent can benefit from the lessons shared throughout.
