A 2023 Audie Award finalist in erotica

The bad boy of the NBA and the princess of the McClain Kingdom—a love story.

He’s handsome, talented, and troubled. Known as the bad boy of the NBA, Armand Daniels is both a liability and an asset to any team he’s a member of due to his hair-trigger temper. He’s no stranger to instability, but this latest trade may be what forces him onto the path of true change.

Ella McClain is her daddy’s princess, the daughter of a beauty icon, and a successful model in her own right. However, she’s tired of the spotlight and all that comes with it. Although cherished and protected by her family, she is overcoming deep issues when she crosses paths with Armand.

They are an unlikely pair who share a combustible chemistry and an inextinguishable passion, but do they have what it takes to build an enduring love?

Yes please!!!!

Ms. Alexandria House knocked it out of the park with this story! I wasn't expecting everything I got from this and where it went.

Jakobi and Wesleigh tore this story up with their narration!!!
If I could give more stars, I would.
Bravo 👏🏾

This story line is 🔥!!!!!

I love all of Alexandria House books. They all have great story lines, but this book right here hit different. Be able to read how these two characters grow into their adulthood and explore things to make them happy and better unapologetically just made the book even better. I am waiting on some more books with all these characters. Alexandria got me hooked on her imagination world❤

I want to be like Ella's when I grow up!!

This book was so good from start to finish! I took the day off so I can get some things done around the house but ended up enthralled with this book and barely finishedthe laundry. My ears feel like they're bleeding from having these ear buds in non-stop 🤣. This trio here never disappoints! I learned early on AH is coming with straight 🔥 on everything she touches! And man I will listen to ANYTHING WS and JD reads. They can bring a book to life like no other! Great job all around!! 👏🏾

Another favorite.

Why did this feel like the end of the McClain multiverse?!

Another well read book by Wesleigh & Jakobi! My fav duo!

I loved the coupling of Ella & Armand. The ultimate ying yang.

Again I gush about alexandria houses ability to curate her female protagonists with amazing personalities/careers/beliefs/kinks etc. And ultimately show how black love isn’t a monolith. It can be positive and different.

Best narration for complicated characters

Well, I was going to wait a minute to step into book 3, but I just couldn't. And....wow! All I'll say is I was NOT expecting that!

If you've read the McClain brothers series, you've been introduced to both of these characters. And it definitely was not a couple I saw coming. Little Ella McClain, Big South's princess is all grown up and looking to spread her wings after a pretty traumatic few years. She's leaving LA and headed to St Louis. She'll still be close to family, but far enough away to have her space.
Then there is Armand Daniels. Remember him? Hot headed son of Kim who is now married to Leland McClain? He is still playing ball, but finds out he's been traded to the one place he does not want to play. And that scene right in chapter one?! I just had to laugh at the anger that went through him. BUT I could totally see it from how he's been portrayed in the past.

So, it's obviously Ella and Armand's story and I really liked them and the way they complimented one another. You knew there was going to be family drama surrounding them from their pasts and background, but I liked the way they worked together and how Ms House really focused on mental health for both of these characters and what worked for them to heal. What I did not expect was who the Princess turned out to be and how Armand filled the role she needed. Little Miss Ella definitely grew up in ways I did not see coming. What would Big South say?

Overall, I'll say.... yeah! Ella and Armand weren't perfect, but I liked the way they came together and worked through their issues. I wish we would've seen more of Ella's past and how that affected her and what she went through to heal, but what we got was satisfying. Armand and his relationship with his mom could've gone in depth more, but this wasn't about the family. I think Ella and Armand worked much better in the bedroom than outside of it, but that was also who they were.
And last but not least....the audio was FAN-FRICKIN-TASTIC. There's no one better than Jakobi Diem when it comes to Alexandria House's sex scenes and him performing them. I swear she writes those scenes just for him. And Wesleigh Siobhan came out swinging with the grown up Ella. Two fierce characters that were not going to step down. That’s the way you end a series!!

OMG! This entire series was 🔥! I love the way these stories intertwined with each other. As I listened to each book I could really put myself in each story! Each book did not disappoint at all!

Good

I have mixed feelings about this book, lol.

I love the story between Ella and Armand, and I love them individually and together! I just couldn’t get over the BDSM storyline. It was creepy and just plain weird to hear him calling her “sir” throughout the book. I was hoping that at some point she’d decide that it wasn’t necessary. The BDSM storyline seemed very exaggerated and it was just tooooo much. I wanted to stop this book several times simply because I didn’t like the “sir” and BDSM that much, but I really wanted to see how their love story developed. I also wanted to see what would happen when Ella found out that Ev (Big South💜) wasn’t her biological father. Also, I can’t believe that sexy Big South missed the abuse that Ella experienced during her relationship with the rapper. He was signed to South’s label!! How is it that as famous as South is, no one told him?!?!

Overall, it’s a good story and I am happy that Armand and Ella found love. They healed together and it was really good to see. 💜

How Love of Ella crushed the fear and negative spirit in Armond

How the writer ties all books and stories together is awesome! It helps to see the bigger picture.
