Publisher's summary

Their paths never should have crossed, but a mandate for justice sealed their fate. From their first encounter, Cruz "The Butcher" Merada and Zafira Wilder's meticulously laid plans were shot to hell.

He's a charmingly persuasive player, a keeper of sinful promises, who's used to getting what he wants. She's resilient, determined, and nobody's pushover. They know a relationship between them would never work; however, it's only a matter of time before they risk giving in to their desires. Soon, they're spiraling out of control in a tangled web of heartstrings and treachery.

If they're smart, they'll call it quits and walk away before someone gets hurt. Or, just maybe, Cruz and Zafira will be brave enough to confront their fears and fight for what's inevitable between them - love.

Contains mature themes.

Great Read!

Out of all the Whiskey Row books, this one was my favorite. It was my favorite because there was finally a great female narrator. she can do accents, her voice didn't sound breathy or forced and she brought the characters to life. The characters, story and narration was superb!

multi layer world with whiskey tied

We see more of the characters we love. Cruz had front and center stage this time around. There is a new player in the scene. She is the counterpart that a Cruz needs. They had a few moments before but nothing like this. There was something more.

I love Mari but this time it was just a like. It was not fault of her own. It was just Morae Brohen stolen my heart for the voices of Whiskey Row and Cruz.

Plot is complex.

I enjoyed going on this journey with Cruz and Z. The flashbacks add to the depth of characters and plot development.

Good Read

This of course was a good read it is D.A. Young. But do not expect the same sex scenes we usually find in her books. More then 8 hours before the couple does anything worth talking about. I know it is petty but she is one of those writers that makes some of the best erotic scenes. Dont judge me!!! There are also so many twists and turns flash backs that come together in thi book. I think I will not be getting the rest of this series until it is rated by other people.

Too much back and forth

This storyline was all over the place and challenging to keep up with; had to listen closely for past events and the here and now. Narrators did a good job for the most part but dialects were not always consistent. Book was better toward the end. Had a difficult time continuing to listen but made it through.

I love Whiskey Row but whats going on with Ian. Also what is going on with Guy we have too many loose ends

There are too many loose ends that are not answered . I absolutely love these characters and story line. I love so much I feel that the situations with Guy is unresolved and the situation with Ian. There wasn't any closure in this situation. I need more!!!!!

Good story narration struggled

I really liked the story....Mari the female narrator wasn't good at doing the accents of the different characters and by the end of the book they all sounded the same which was a little confusing and annoying. besides that I really liked it.
