Publisher's summary

A throne claimed. A city reborn. A family broken.

Thanks to the help of Jacob’s Titan Mechs, much of Belldorn survived the battle that ravaged its shores. But the war is far from over. Demands to chase Ballern’s surviving forces across the sea meet more resistance than Jacob could have imagined when Lady Katherine ignores her allies’ protests and shifts her focus to reinforcing the city.

Alice knows they’ll need to grow their numbers if they’re going to stand a chance against Mordair on the other side of the Crystal Sea. Their hopes rest on Furi bringing the Skyborn into the fold. But Samuel has another plan that will take them back to where it all began…behind the towering walls of Ancora.

Whether they await Mordair’s return or bring the fight to him, their survival once more depends on Jacob’s allies. As hope begins to fade…so come the Stormborn.

excellent listen

This is voice to text so forgive my grammar cuz I'm driving. this storyline is very well written and extremely well developed characters outstanding job it cannot wait for more. in my personal opinion this storyline gives serious competition, if not outright better than Harry Potter. lol but what do I know?

Best steampunk series you can listen to.

Without a doubt the very best in the steampunk genre. At least the best I have read so far. If the series ever comes to a close I hope Eric Asher creates another book in the same genre.

I LOVE this series!

Ever since I stumbled on the first three books in this series, I've gotten every book as soon as it comes out. I love the world building and the more we learn about the past, the more intriguing it becomes! I hate bugs, but the idea of gigantic bugs is so much fun!

This book is more of the same. The characters are well rounded and so vivid! Saskia does such a superb job of bringing them all to life. The author has outdone himself. I wait (only a little impatiently) for the next book in the series.

No spoilers, but the last hour or so had me on the edge of my seat! Brilliant!

The saga continues

The third trilogy begins! The story of Jacob and Alice continues, with new characters seamlessly woven into the story. The fight brings together old friends and new, as we feel their struggles of fighting Mordair. Asher has brought a new world, and engaging characters to us in this book. Once again, the story is brought to life by the masterful performance of Saskia Maarleveld. Although this is the seventh book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone, but you will be wanting to read the previous books!

A real enjoyment 🤩

The series is a good coming of age series.
This has enough meat to the story to make it great even though it is a good vs. evil theme.

WAITING on the next book.......

The war continues

The was keeps moving forward for Jacob, Alice, and all their allies/friends. As it continues to go on, they gather more and more allies as the danger becomes more prevalent. New history comes to life, old truths that have long been buried.

I always love the bonds/friendships formed in this series. The strong loyalties and sense of community, people from all different walks of life coming together for the good of all.

As always, the narrator is perfect for the series and brings it to life in wonderful color.

A Setup For The Trilogy

I am not sure if I was just more distracted this time around but it was hard to stay focused on this novel. It was good to revisit the characters and share in the the world but it didn't feel like much of importance was happening other than pieces moving to set up the rest of the trilogy. Looking forward to the rest of the trilogy coming out to finish the Steamborn saga.
