Not good
I did not enjoy this book. It was slow and depressing with few redeeming qualities. I stuck with it thinking this has to get better, but it didn’t. The ending was bad too. The narrator did a good job with the material she had.

Dismal, hopeless story

Messy, just like life
An enigma within a puzzle within a conundrum! Some things you can’t take your eyes off of otherwise you miss something with this one you can’t take your ears off of it for a second with any distraction otherwise you’d have to go back to the previous chapter and listen all over again to the point where you caught yourself. So much human mess of emotion, trauma and bad behavior. Nothing tidy about this at all. It all makes sense in the end and yet for you as a reader figuring it all out won’t bring you happiness and relief. The fun and the thrill of this was all in the in between. Pretty much like, life.
