Publisher's summary

From the internationally best-selling author Samantha King, a gripping, emotional psychological thriller about a mother's worst nightmare.... The Sleepover asks "Who would you trust to keep your child safe?"

It was meant to be the best night of her son's life.... Was it his last?

Izzy is thrilled when her shy, 12-year-old son is invited for his first sleepover. Nick has spent years being isolated and picked on; he deserves a night of fun and friendship. But Izzy is also nervous: it's a year to the day since bullies put Nick in the hospital. She drops him off at his new best friend's house with mixed feelings. Arriving to collect him the following morning, her worst fears come true.... Nick isn't there. Who has taken her son? And will she ever get him back?

Flat ending

The story line is a good one but there should have been a twist at the end other than a deranged 12 year old I’ll try another book from same author

Listening to this is brutal

Oh, where to start with this. Still trying to figure out why a full grown woman would argue and interrogate a 12yo.

I don't like to use the word hysterical because of where it comes from. That is the only word that fits. Every little thing that happened she'd lose it thinking the craziest thing. She either doing that or whining or being overly protective.

If this was real that kid would be one messed up adult. Have to listen her coddling him. It's all ridiculous. She's also doesn't like anything tech and is baffled that she can be tracked on her phone. I struggled hard with this and the last 2 hours were the worst.

Something to fall asleep to

The performance was okay, the story was pretty flat and unbelievable. Could’ve been better towards the end but the ending took a wrong turn.

Clueless as HE&$!

I am ashamed to say I finished this just to see if I was right about who did it. I was wrong that being said I struggled like crazy with this because of poor Nick’s mother. That woman should have been the one seeing a therapist.
She thought everyone was guilty until proven wrong her son could only do wrong if somebody coerced him.Not realizing that her overprotective coddling is going to cause some serious issues when he grows up and the ex husband cusps to him for getting out.
