An Instant New York Times Bestseller!

China has concentration camps now. Why do Westerners claim our sins are unique?

It is now in vogue to celebrate non-Western cultures and disparage Western ones. Some of this is a much-needed reckoning, but much of it fatally undermines the very things that created the greatest, most humane civilization in the world.

In The War on the West, Douglas Murray shows how many well-meaning people have been fooled by hypocritical and inconsistent anti-West rhetoric. After all, if we must discard the ideas of Kant, Hume, and Mill for their opinions on race, shouldn’t we discard Marx, whose work is peppered with racial slurs and anti-Semitism? Embers of racism remain to be stamped out in America, but what about the raging racist inferno in the Middle East and Asia?

It’s not just dishonest scholars who benefit from this intellectual fraud but hostile nations and human rights abusers hoping to distract from their own ongoing villainy. Dictators who slaughter their own people are happy to jump on the “America is a racist country” bandwagon and mimic the language of antiracism and “pro-justice” movements as PR while making authoritarian conquests.

If the West is to survive, it must be defended. The War on the West is not only an incisive takedown of foolish anti-Western arguments but also a rigorous new apologetic for civilization itself.

Brilliant mind & research.

42 years had served Douglas so well. I weep at the effort and generosity others go to for the encouragement and contribution to making a difference. I could not stop listening to the book. It has touch in such a profound nerve that has been begging to understand. Understand why our children are so discouraged, why education is lacking, why institutions are sliding into sticky clicks of resentment. Indictments they hold no substance. I’m from immigration, grew up poor. I’m not an immigrant, I am a citizen, I am not poor. I have raised 4 women, one which I bore, one adopted, 2 nieces of mixed race. We raised then to be their best, circumstances do not dictate outcome. You dictate your out come. It worked, not perfect but perfectly lived. Each are contributing women, each chose children, each have managed to raise those children to a higher and better place than they originated from. Can you ask for more, i have visited every continent, returning from Kenya two weeks ago where I have taken grandchildren at age 10 to developing countries. That they may know for themselves, I see the belt/road infrastructure China has build in East Africa. I have seen Zambia, I know of what you write. I waited on the Zambian River watching 250 trucks sit waiting 3 wks for their turn to be pulled next, unable to cross a River because of extortion. Your work is not fiction. China, India, Europe, South America, etc.. you write of fact not fiction. I pray we are not so foolish as to be lured into pathetic laziness to assume someone will rescue us from what is necessary. I have grandchildren I will not sacrifice, brilliant, gifted, attending & heading into colleges that teach principles of integrity. I know of what you write. Keep thing young Douglas, you are the age of my children, I have insisted on each reading this material to be discussed as a family. You must have a mother who is extremely supportive of such a son. If not I am…

Beyond excellent. Important.

Probably Murray’s best work yet, “The War on the West” should be required reading in every school and university across the West. Impeccably researches, it provides much needed perspective, tying together the seemingly disparate strands of what we all see taking place in our societies. Often the first step in dealing with a threat is identifying it and naming it. Here, Murray does exactly that.

Bravo

I don’t think there’s anybody who could be a greater narrator for any book than Mr. Murray. If you have not read madness of crowds, I deeply recommend that you do. This is another grand slam by one of the greatest minds of our time. As an American, I deeply appreciate the grace, candor, and brilliant mind of this man. This man is a national and international treasure. This book should be required reading for so many different organizations and institutions. Bravo Mr Murray, you’ve done it again sir

Eye opening!

I just recently listened to an interview with Douglas Murray on The Joe Rogan Experience, podcast. I wasn't aware of who he was before that. At first I thought he may be a comedian, because of his light hearted but still very English, sense of humor. I recommend that people, not familiar with who he is, listen to that podcast before they read, or listen to "The war on the west". I think it gives you a more human connection, with the author.

I think this may be the most important book we can read today, regarding the insanity of the "Social Justice movement" . It terrifies me to see the parallels between This movement and the rhetoric of the third Reich. The difference of course, is that this anti-West, Marxist movement is targeting all white people and their culture, as the enemy of mankind, instead of the Jews. White Jews are not exempt though. It's mind-blowing to me that an advanced society can accept such blatant racism from groups that claim to be anti-racist!

Do yourself a favor and listen to this book. You may also want to buy a hard copy, as I could see books like this being outlawed very soon.

Undeniably Valuable Read!

When I heard Murray’s interview on JP recently where Peterson remarked that it may be a depressing read, I had to laugh. Of course the situation the West finds itself in is alarming - and dire (!) BUT this book is absolutely Liberating. Certainly worth while. Actually - correction. This book is MANDATORY content for anyone with the intellectual curiosity to handle the present day trip wires and very real movements afoot that we must take specific action to oppose. I’m not an activist at heart but I am one by necessity of survival. This isn’t just taxes and policy at play. This is the very survival of a meaningful way of life and our liberty that is at stake. Read or listen to this book and buy a copy for a friend or loved one. Today.

An Excellent Unraveling of hate speech

Murray excels in both the written and spoken word, but more importantly he excels in unraveling the deception of current gripe mongers whose highest goal appears to increase hate, self-centeredness, and the destruction of anyone who disagrees with their infantile arguments.

Should be required reading

Douglas Murray does another masterful job of taking on one of the sacred cows of our day. His research is thorough and his arguments cogent. I predict that no one on the other side of issues will be willing to debate him. I hope I’m wrong.

Genius

Douglas Murray is in the company of Thomas Sowell and all the great analytical thinkers in history that present arguments with unassailable clarity. He is a beautiful mind.

as expected

gets tedious in it's tour de force. but it's message is overwhelming for those who have ears to hear. Murray reads it himself thankfully

Grim but harshly needed

A good-(If depressing)-analysis of the darker things creeping across the west. A worthwhile read.
