Publisher's summary

Booze, women, and brotherhood - that's what my good friend Quinn's bachelor party should have been.

Booze, one mysterious raven-haired woman, and an arrest - that's what it was.

As Cam Mitchell, a New York Maverick and one of the best tight ends in the professional football league, my to-do list should be pretty simple. Play ball. Get laid. Have fun. But after one hour with a stripper named Trixie, that list of mine has shifted dramatically.

Tell Quinn to call my lawyer. And, for the love of God, don't get fired from the Mavericks. I swear, I tried to make it stop there. But one tiny thing keeps finding its way to the very top....

Find out more about the dark-haired beauty with the big blue eyes and make her mine. Too bad it's a hell of a lot more complicated than that. How do you fall in love with a woman whose real name you don't know?

Well, ladies and gentlemen...I'm about to find out.

Good but strange

The story was a little stupid, but it was cute. Happy ever after. Good read.

Good story until the abrupt ending!

I seem to be writing the same statements in my reviews,75% of the time. The plot and character development was proceeding at a comfortable pace, until the Climax of the story. Then poof! The author decided to end the book. There was on chapter on the resolution of the conflict and then an epilogue (which was two years in the future. The listener/reader doesn’t get to share any part of the couples’ life, together. We don’t get to experience the introductions to the parents or the Heroine cheering her man on, during a single one of his games. We don’t get to experience the reaction of the Hero’s teammates, to the Heroine and their relationship. We did get all of that in the last book and it was so much more satisfying to me. This book left me feeling disappointed.

This made me think of C MAC…and I loved it

This is book 3 of the series, and I even though I envisioned CMAC, I feel like there could have been more to this story. I thought Lana’s character was a great idea. Very nice change of pace as far as most FMCs go. All together it was a decent read/listen. It is what I’ve come to expect from the author.

Trixie and Cameron.. Who'd Have Thought...

I love, love, loved Trick Play!!

I couldn't put this book down!!
After meeting Trixie at a strip club, Cameron is enamored by a set of baby blues.
So what if Trixie is a stripper.. and Cameron is a member of the famed Maverick football team. Like the best corner back in the NFL!

But Trixie has a huge secret..
And a family that makes you shake your head.
All men. I'll leave it at that. Once you read this story, I think you'll be asking yourselves the same question I asked myself.. how is Trixie still sane.. 😂

I won't let out any spoilers, just know this story is worth the credit.

CJ Bloom is one of my favorite narrators... With Joe Arden, you can't go wrong!!

Max Monroe.. ladies, you've done it again!!
I have yet to read or listen to one of your books that aren't great!!

Please read the first two books in the Maverick's series.
If you haven't yet read the Bad Billionaires series.. add them to your wish list. Many of the characters are in this series, as well.

A great Maverick love story

I liked how different these characters are and how they unexpectedly got together. This was worth reading.

Max Monroe did a great job with this boy meets girl rom-com! I loved the emphasis on trust and dedication to family. Cam and Lana were blessed to have such a loving support system although it was very small. The humor in this story cause me to laugh out loud and almost got me in trouble at work for listening to this audiobook while working. Joe Arden and CJ Bloom were fabulous narrators as always!

Great book

Cam is a football player who arranged the team to go to a strip club for the bachelor party of the team’s quarterback. Although the QB wants nothing to do with the stripper club and strippers Cam was all for it. While getting a lap dance he was enjoying himself with one stripper named Trixie but Cam knew it was not her real name. He wanted to know her name and she refused.
Lana is an uncover detective working as a stripper named, Trixie, to bring the owner of the club and several associates of his. She was giving a lap dance to a guy and he kept paying for her time. He wanted to know her more as he felt this attraction to her. She refused to give him any information. When another guy came over insisting Trixie give him a lap dance and got really handsy, Cam didn’t like it and knocked him which caused Cam to be arrested.
Now Cam can’t get Trixie out of his mind and he kept going back to the strip club until she gave in and went on a date with him.
Another book of Max Monroe’s I love. Lana is good for Cam, but she keeps pushing him away as he met her as Trixie as she is undercover.
